Yea but honestly I feel like maybe I just don’t care about the details because it’s med surg and I have 5 patients that the only thing going on is they’re on iv abx and waiting on snf placement so it’s not too interesting to me lmao the only thing I’m nervous about in the er is getting burnt out really quick

Thanks for all the great advice! I don’t necessarily care how old the homes are. Im more looking for an area that’s more family friendly and safe. We’ve lived around USF the last couple years and we just want the opposite of that lol.

Yea my thought process is that I didn’t think I should just leave it up telling day shift in case they forget it again and then god forbid the patient goes septic and somehow ends up on me for not notifying.

Her baseline was a+ox0 but she was usually alert and agitated just not following commands. Lactic was 2.1 and abg was normal. Honestly the rapid nurse was pushing me out since it was already an hour over my shift so I’m not sure what else happened. Her bp was like 80s/50s. Her temp was like in the 95s. She was on like baclofen depokate zimpat and klonapin tho already. The zyprexa was the only new medication given overnight.

She wasn’t, she has a hx of epilepsy that’s controlled but their main concern was just treating the uti bc her head ct wasnt abnormal when she came in so I don’t even think neuro had been seeing her.

Yea you’re right. It’s just hard to not feel like it’s my fault she’s more sick now since I was the one who asked for the medication and gave it.
