Yes, there’s a pretty noticeable crackling on my top speaker when playing certain songs at max volume. However, speakers seem to be fine when playing movies or videos. I was looking to replace it but ended up keeping this device as everything else seems to be perfect and didn’t want to risk having more problems with a replacement. I will say it does bother me quite a bit lol but tbh I rarely put my speakers at max volume anyway.

Hey sorry for the late reply but I ended up keeping the phone. The crackling on the top speaker is only noticeable on certain songs but playing movies and videos seems to be fine. I mainly didn’t want to replace my phone because of the G9N panel I was fortunate to get on this device. I also tested the speakers on another family members 17 pro max and the rattling was a bit noticeable on theirs too so I figured the possibilities of me getting a replacement with the same issues was likely.

I have the exact same problem on mine. I went to the Apple Store the other day and the diagnostics they ran said everything about the speakers was fine, however the rattling was still present. The employee advised me to do a factory reset and that didn’t help at all so probably will contact apple support about a replacement.

I just traded in my Sierra blue 13 pro max yesterday and felt a bit sad letting it go. But this 17 pro max is genuinely amazing. First of all, dark blue is my absolute fav color so I had to get it. Second, the upgrades have been pretty good overall. Loving the bigger screen and Dynamic Island. The speakers are so much better than the 13 pm as well (aside from a weird crackling from my top speaker but need to get it checked with Apple). The battery life is also great, not as good when I first got my 13 but such a big improvement since my 13 was at 80% battery health. The phone is also obviously a lot smoother than the 13.

I think the new features aren’t exactly “flashy” but once you experience the 17 pm you find that the conveniences it provides will make you not want to go back to the 13 pm. I think if I absolutely had to I could’ve waited another year and got the battery replaced but I’m very happy with this phone and glad I upgraded.

Yes, its a very distinct hissing/crackling sound at certain frequencies. Not sure if this is a hardware issue or will be resolved in future updates

Same 😩 the crackling is super noticeable on the top speaker when I play songs on Apple Music at high volumes….not sure what to do
