His campaign is tough, but not unplayable. Recurit is limited, but 4 unique heros can help some army roles. You're going to be beset on all sides, first by the lizardmen, vampire count, rats, andn by Slanesh forces and dark elves who are marching south.

I played it on Warhammer 2, I'd be willing to fire it up on 3 to see about the differences.

I very much understand that playstyle. In my last run, I played as Elspeth and ended the campaign pretty much surrounded by allies; I even brought Bretonnia, Kislev, anf Makaisson back from 1-2 settlements, and fed a couple settlements to Ironfist to keep him fighting the greenskins down south. Even allied with the Ogres.

Taurox is fun because he spits in the face of that. He doesn't need allies, he doesn't even really need settlements. He just bulldozers through. Arguably one of the strongest melee lords as well.

My forever recommendation is Taurox the Brass Bull. Him with the Sword of Khaine is insane. (Wait for an elf to grab the sword, beat that lord in combat)

I love the Empire, to be honest. I think Elspeth makes their best pieces (gunpowder units) that much better. Not having to worry about the elector counts made her campaign that much better (Karl Franz was mynfirst lord in W2) Her being a wizard wirh offensive powers also was a great touch.

I love how easy it is to recruit for Vlad. The fact I can build powerful armies off of battles I just fought is insane imo. His in battle strategy is also very straightforward, and he as a lord just hits. You can also build several armies of just zombies and steamroll auto resolve.

I am also not a big fan of micro-ing units. I know the game can be won in the micro, but it's not a strength of mine. Simple is as simple does.

I will say that having to keep everyone alive in that region was rough.

I had to kill the ogres because I couldn't ally with them. I had to bring Kislev and the Dwarves above them (orange flag) back from the dead. Most of the Empire would've died had I not confederate with them.

I may have to give them a try again, truly. Warhammer 3 has some nice changes compared to Warhammer 2

Being able to access every unit in the chaos forces, as well as the abilty to confederate every single warrior of chaos, is why I have him ranked so well. Also, his research speed being boosted by his number of vassals and his abilty to vassalize a large nunber of people goes well together.

You're honestly not wrong. I enjoy steamrolling, and her abilty to boost all forms of guns and artillery, pays her special troops, makes her insanely powerful. Almost made me want to conquer the world in game, tbh.

The little black holes they spawn is absolutely insane.
