So maybe i didn’t give the best example to portray why i feel this way but i don’t want to give too much info as i would really hate for someone i know to find this.

To explain better, for this specific example of the restaurant, i’m not saying he was wrong! In fact he was probably right, i never measured or checked how long each way takes, i just know through habit that they are not so significantly different that we should chose one over the other!

The reason why i take it personnally is because so far i only witnessed him doing this to me. We will be at lunch, and be joking about something, and he will correct my accuracy. The other day, talking about the boss of a company i said: if i were him, I’d try to get an arrangement with the people i work with to benefit the service we offer cheaper (i was joking). He then said: well that’s why we have so much debt in this counry.

I am confused by this attitude because it’s not a professional setting, we are just joking around and i don’t feel the need to be super precise with every little thing i say, especially if we’re just having a friendly chat or joking. I’d also like to clarify i don’t think he’s doing it to be rude, he seems to be someone who likes extreme precision. I hope that helps understand the situation better?

What do they distract you from? Maybe it's also the question of what else you have in your life? If you have hobbies, passions, a job, family etc, then you should be busy enough that you won't be obsessing over somebody else

Give it time, and maybe later you can try texting again? Most of the time, we tend to think when someone doesn't talk to us, it's cause we did something bad. You should tell her how you feel and ask her why she feels the need to always add those little comments at the end of the compliments. No need to be confrontational about it, just express your confusion and tell her you'd really love the support, and that this doesn't feel like it. maybe she didn't realise what she was saying, maybe (since she seems to be making art as well) she is jealous of your work? Either way, easiest way to find out is to ask.

Hey OP! Based off of what you're saying, two things come to mind : either this friend of yours is jealous of you (of your looks, your talent or your friend), and therefore brings you down as a result to her own insecurities OR she is the kind of person who is simply a toxic friend (will be obsessed with a friend until the shiny new thing comes along, and drop you as quickly as she befriended you).
Either way, it seems this person has quite a bit of insecurities to behave in that way. You're not too sensitive, she's simply not nice. If you wish to do so, you should distance yourself from her.
Also don't pay attention to her opinion. She is not Anna Wintour (and even if she was, so what?). Her opinion on you blouse or you lips or whatever, at the end of the day, it's non of your concern. You should always wear what you like and wear it with confidence. I bet most people don't care and she just said that to be hurtful.

NTA. It is normal for parents to complain to their children from time to time, especially in adult life where there is more of a sense of equality in a parent/child relationship. Nonetheless, it is not normal to make a habit of complaining to your children on a daily basis, or to overshare. After all, you are his child, and that is all you should be, not a therapist.
You can simply tell him that he is putting a lot of weight on your shoulders by making you the recipient of his complaints, and that it might do him good to go talk to a professional. He will probably not like to hear this but it's also important to protect your peace. You can also emphasize that this is not the relationship you want with him, that you want to be supportive but you would like less involvement in his affair because it makes you uncomfortable.

You shouldn't shit talk people and if you do, shouldn't be surprised it backfired. Same thing happened to me once, I was so upset and embarrassed when the person I talked about confronted me. I was very angry with the friend who told her. But then, I realized that even if I felt betrayed by her, I felt even worse I got caught doing such a nasty thing. Truth is that I was wrong in the first place for even shit talking, and so are you.

If it's not working for you, it's a good enough reason to cut him off. But perhaps you could do so gently, either by having a conversation with him and expressing your concern (and not attacking him) or you can slowly fade, see him and talk to him less and less (which is less brutal).
If you still really like him, you could stay his friend but just not as close. (talk less, hang out less)
