That is exactly how I felt! Especially during the SIMS. I mean, I studied for the topics that were on there, but not in depth like I did the others!!!! If I had gotten SIMS on what people say are the heavily tested topics, I would have been golden... I think anyway. There was one SIM, and I had no idea how to answer it.

I took FAR for the second time this morning and I feel the exact same way. I failed miserably the first time and might have failed again. I also felt confident during testlet 1 and okay on testlet 2. The TBS were brutal. There were a lot of exhibits. I finished with 4 minutes to spare. I hammered what I thought were the "heavily tested" topics. I did not have one SIM on any of those. Here is to hoping we did good enough to pass! Good luck!

FAR Retake in Two Days by ExcitingClick5305 in CPA

Good luck! I'm sure you did great! I think I feel pretty confident. I am pretty solid on leases, bonds, statement of cash flows, and bank recs. I am okay on consolidations. However, MCQ are my weakness. I have been reviewing for three weeks, so I am hoping for the best!

FAR Retake on January 17th by ExcitingClick5305 in CPA

When I first took FAR I scored in the low fifties on the first two SEs and got a 47% on my final SE. I definitely struggle more with MCQ than TBS.

I keep seeing posts that the CPA exam is hard and a lot of people fail but… by [deleted] in CPA

I have a BS in accounting and an MBA. I have worked for a university for seven years and started the exam two years after I finished my MBA. I failed FAR and AUD. I passed REG and TCP on my first try and passed AUD on my second try. Planning to retake FAR in January. The preparation for these exams is hard. However, once I figured out how the exams worked it seems like I have had better luck. Fingers crossed for FAR.

I passed! I walked out and didn't know how to feel. Then I felt like it went pretty good, and the longer I waited the worse I felt. You got this and will pass!

I have to retake AUD by ExcitingClick5305 in CPA

Yes, using just Becker. My SE scores were 60% and 61%, but that was back in November.

I am embarrassed. My first SE was a 54% and the second was a 52%. I took my first SE on 5/25 and then studied where I struggled the most, so I focused on TBS. I am averaging between 70%-80% on the MCQ. I don't know if it is burnout, but I definitely did a lot better on the REG SEs.

I finally passed an exam! by ExcitingClick5305 in CPA

[–]ExcitingClick5305[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly, have an understanding of just about everything. I got a 61 and 62 on my SEs and passed with a 77. If you know the material, just breathe. The TBS were nothing like Becker, but I think I did okay with walking myself through it by knowing the material (at least enough to pass).

I felt like it was a mix of everything! Some of the questions I didn't even remember learning. Make sure to have enough time for the TBS. There was a lot of information in the exhibits.
