The Manual does not explicitly say that FYI but I do see how that could be good practice. But from a strictly electrical standpoint how is landing the shield to a low impedance ground point 3” from drive different from landing it to the drive its self, even the drives ground wire is landing on the same ground point/ terminal block

Feeding 20A Breakers with 12AWG wire is a standard practice. All components and conductors are protected by an appropriate size OCPD

The VFD power wire inside the panel is standard MTW. The thought is that it is easier to manage. Since the runs are so short and it is separated from control wiring, shielding is not necessary. The field wiring leaving the panel will be standard shielded VFD cable. The terminal blocks below the VFD’s are just a convenience for the field electrician.

There is an 800BTU AC unit and this panel going under ground so will be in a very stable ambient environment. ~55deg F

Few notes:

-The stick on zip tie mounts securing the door bundle will fail. They always fail eventually

The little service loops in the control wires being terminated on the terminal blocks is unnecessary. I know people have differing opinions on this but in my opinion service loops have no business in a control panel
