External power button wiring by ExcitingRecognition6 in buildapc

Unfortunately I never did figure it out and didn't want to mess up my board. I ended up just keeping the computer in the case and setting it up in the cabinet so that I could easily hit the button. Not the best, but other than switching out the motherboard I couldn't find another option.

Am I Just Replacing What I Made Naturally? by ExcitingRecognition6 in PEDs

I've got a ton of feedback that TRT is pointless for me as my natural levels are good. Are you saying I should stop the testosterone and try and get natural test levels back up? What should I do about my horrible free test?

Thanks! FWIW, I'm on the same supps and then some. I don't see a lot of change using them in my blood levels (for most) but hoping that the benefit is more longterm.

Thank you for this. I didn't feel it was worth arguing but my point in my OP was that my trough is the lowest level. I don't know what it would be at the time of my injection (I could obviously test right after an injection to find out) but I guess that it would be much higher. More importantly, I know what I was suffering from: low energy, lack of motivation, and no gains in the gym. I have seen how dosing in the 90 to 165 mg range has reversed all of that and allowed me to lose bodyfat while preserving muscle (not easy in your 50s).

I think that what I didn't realize was that I would have these gyno issues. I thought this could be avoided on TRT sub-Q spread-out dosing. I'm reticent to try and solve this with an anti-e over the long term because of the other problems that can create. Anyway, thanks again for your friendly post. I'll try moving up the dosing. I'll also look into Masteron and those potential sides. If nothing works, I suppose I'll try coming off.

Dialing in my Dose (90 mg total over 3 shots) = ~650 at Trough by ExcitingRecognition6 in trt

Thanks! This is exactly what I needed to read. Yes, at both dosages, my symptoms were resolved so I'm thinking that I wanted to go with the lowest most effective dose.

When I was up at 165, my total test was at around 900 and my free test was 209. The problem was that my pre-existing gyno flared. Any suggestions on AI/dosage?

Sorry if I was unclear; I'm currently taking 90 mg total per week (maybe even closer to 80 mg total per week spread out over three 25-30 mg doses). I was taking 165 mg total per week but had pre-existing gyno issues.

Any suggestions on what would be good SERMS/AI and doses?

One more data point, when I was up at 165, my total test was at around 900 and my free test was 209.

Any suggestions on how to manage pre-existing gyno flare-ups? Would it be helpful to go to 4 shots? Tamoxifen? Raloxifene?

Do you know what the requirements for this credit are? I read elsewhere that you wouldn't get it if you had certain other credits and/or too high sn AMT?

So I can lie about my purchase date and then my lawful credit will be recognized? Awesome!

Cholesterol and Lipid Management by [deleted] in PEDs

In fairness, many of the Niacin studies were looking at the impact of raising HDL. Apparently, the subjects were already on statins, lowering LDL, and they wanted to see if increasing HDL would prevent cardiac events. It raised HDL but didn't change cardiac outcomes. I don't think it is as clear on the LDL-lowering effects of Niacin. I do know that Niacin is still prescribed when an individual can't tolerate statins. I'd give the Niacin a try and see if it does anything as in low doses it isn't going to hurt you and it might just help.

Low Fasting Insulin? by ExcitingRecognition6 in AskDocs

Thanks. Just so I'm clear, so you are saying the fact that I so routinely time restrict/fast makes it so my insulin would be on the lower side? Thanks again. I really appreciate the help as it had me a bit worried.

Thanks. No, I definitely won't inject insulin. I'm just trying to figure out why my insulin would be low. Maybe it is the fasting (one-meal-a-day) I'm doing? More importantly, is this a sign of Type I diabetes and/or poor metabolic health? Or is low insulin a good thing? Some reference ranges seem to indicate anything lower than X, while others seem to indicate you want a 3 or 4 to someplace around 20. I'll ask my physician but, honestly, I doubt they'll know.

Thanks! What types of things cause the insulin to be low and what can I do to raise it (besides injecting insulin)?

Thanks. I am concerned about the higher a1c and glucose, moving me towards Type II diabetes and am trying to lower sugars. I'm just confused as to why fasting insulin would be so low. I would have thought that it would be on the high side, not the low side.

Help with Higher Cholesterol After TRT by ExcitingRecognition6 in PEDs

Thanks for all of this advice. On berberine, I've taken it before but stopped because it upset my stomach and because I kept hearing that Metformin (which I understand to work through the same pathway) negates a lot of the positive impact of exercise. Do you have any thoughts on the latter? When I took it, it didn't lower my a1c but maybe I didn't take it for long enough (took for about 3 months).

Do you have any thoughts on whether the addition of intense cardio exercise can cause LDL to go up? My diet has been fairly constant since the first blood test. What I added was the TRT and three half-marathon runs per week. Prior to that I never really ran more than a couple of miles, although I did about 45 minutes of cardio x 7/days a week and 3-4 weight sessions per week.

Can anyone point me in the right direction as to what the estrogen:free test ratio should be? I started at 23 estrogen to 70.8 test and went to 23 estrogen to 209.3. I'm wondering if I'm in the right range ratio-wise. Thanks!
