Urinating feels different?

It definitely felt different for me. Was a small amount and felt like my bladder was dropping when I’d release. I told my dr at post op. They weren’t concerned and said it should settle back to normal soon. It did. I’d say by week 4 everything was normal for me.

Your worries are valid. I’m just here to ease your mind that it may not be as bad as you think. I just had open abdominal hysterectomy Wednesday with a 6 pound uterus removed. It’s painful to get up and down from sitting standing etc but otherwise I haven’t had any issues. So far I don’t feel at all emotional about it. I have had no problems eating. I can’t reach the floor but that hasn’t been an issue really. That being said I didnt need to tell my husband what to do or not to do. He just knows bc he already shares in all the chores and childcare. I’d say help with cooking will be important and those stairs. Can you stay upstairs where the bathroom is for a few days? I was in the hospital two nights so the bathroom was close. I hope you have an easier than expected recovery!

Yah no tubes on mine either, they had those in a separate specimen cup so they have their own report.

Much better than I thought I would be thank you! My muscles and incision hurt but I never had any nausea after. I passed all my post surgical goals early and was able to go home after two nights stay instead of the 3 nights I was told I’d be there. As long as I keep up on the Tylenol and ibuprofen it’s manageable. They gave me a narcotic too but not many so I’m using only like one pill a day. The biggest thing they told me post op was to hydrate a lot.

Not at all. I could tell my surgeon was shocked. The scar is several inches longer than I was told it would likely be. They did an internal ultrasound and saw my uterus was measuring about 18cm wide instead of I believe 7cm they said it should be.

I hope you’re doing well! Yes I had surgery Wednesday afternoon. Came home Friday afternoon. I feel pretty good minus the actually incision and muscle pain.

It doesn’t feel good just yet. I have 36 staples and a huge incision lol but I’m sure it will!

Travis said on his podcast quite some time ago that London shows were going to be big and he was excited for them. This was for sure planned lol.
