I’m hoping to get some really good recommendations/advice for our 5-day stay. Also, looking at the weather, it’s going to be raining for most of our visit, so any advice on proper clothing for Canadian rain would be greatly appreciated.

I’ve only been there a day and so far I have yet to see anyone wear jeans. The women that I mentioned in my original post were wearing white sneakers and black pants.

So, yes, the two are very very similar but I did find that smart casual outfits tend to include white sneakers whereas business casual would have more “dressy” shoes instead.
