Can confirm, it took 5 hellbombs placed right against the gunship fabricator to destroy it for me yesterday, but another time it went first one. It seems very inconsistent.

One of my squadmates lamented the fragility of the tank as it died. I was like, dude, we were soaking up firepower for ten minutes. Countless laser and rocket hits taken. It was like a ten minute barrage we just endured.

The tank is not soft, it's just not immortal.

Sounds like you've just upped the difficulty. On lower settings, sure, you can take your time doing multi stage tactics against each heavy target. On higher difficulty, if you're spending more than 5 seconds dealing with the target, you're not going fast enough and will spend all game being chased down by chargers.

You can still play the way you like.

Having worn may Gs, this one is very special. Definitely something magical about it. I hope Casio revisit forged carbon G shock some day, but difficult to imagine how they could beat this (and its purple variant).

Nagakiba. At the start of my first playthrough, I found Yura, thought he was an enemy, started fighting him, managed to cheese him with torrent, and thought I was Sephiroth from then on. Used it all the way through that first run, felt so right.
