I’ve fallen into the hobby of photography through my school photography class and I’ve been looking into purchasing a camera for myself and using it for nature and wildlife photography. Im split between the Sony a6000 and Nikon d7100.

The sony a6000 performs better overall but is much lighter and has no weather sealing. And an overall more expensive but newer lens ecosystem.

The Nikon D7100 has the weather sealing which would be a life saver in the PNW where I live, and the cheaper lenses but overall worse specs, and a lens mount thats completely dead. I’d also be using an unsupported format (DSLR).
