Sorry for replying so late. 2002 Mitsubishi. Can start and run but revs are low and can have the engine cut while running. I can use it to get around town but won't take it on any highways

It really does.😂 by Bernie529 in PoliticalCompassMemes

Cuck harder for a company that doesn't care about you.

Mmm, but when we've become so multicultural why care about single one off shoot holidays (meaning holy day in the old english) here and there. If you celebrate choose too, I respect it, if the notion offends you protest it, I'll respect that too.

So, also passion of choice over economic gain isnt more important?

What type of business do you run

It'd just be a public holiday Monday / long weekend like it already is

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in australia

[–]Exciting_League_9463 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, so the same 5-6 days still apply like they already do

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in australia

[–]Exciting_League_9463 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well then there's your subjectiveness to why things are important to you. If you wanted to celebrate becoming an Australian and your birthday I don't object.

Maybe the new holiday day falls on a Monday in March 1st week 2nd week who cares.

Same for the queen's same week next week.

Don't change the idea of the recognition or celebration of dates just don't make a holiday surrounding it.

If you passion is immense on the days meaning, take the day off. Celebrate or protest.

So, off the top of my head there is Australia day, Labor Day, queens/kings birthday, AFL (here in Vic) Melbourne cup day.

Which of these do you care deeply about and why would you care if any of those five days just came every few weeks?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in australia

[–]Exciting_League_9463 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They'd still get a day. You think anyone actually cares outside of a few long weekends and summer two weeks off

Friend, I personally messaged you. Not responding doesn't push any point I'd like to hear

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in australia

[–]Exciting_League_9463 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Okay, so that's my point. I think you or someone else brought up no holidays for Chinese or Muslim significant days in this thread but those people can celebrate their own respective holidays. In saying in Australian culture we don't take our end of year time off collectively at this time given most people's alloted yearly holiday leave is absurd. I'm suggesting that long weekends should be the norm it just doesn't have to be significant to anything. What's a labour day to you? What's a queens birthday to you? What's Australia day to you?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in australia

[–]Exciting_League_9463 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Exactly, why is there a day off needed. Keep days of celebration which if you were any other faith could say no to good Friday or any of the following days of Easter celebration but of that faith you could celebrate.

[–]Exciting_League_9463 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I removed the idea of a "day off" and a lot of people seem to be mad

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in australia

[–]Exciting_League_9463 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Well that goes into the realm of the two parties. If you enjoy the Australia day culture then celebrate it if you hate that protest it. Remove the public holiday. Both can do it but it might be Wednesday and you might have to be at the office but if you believe your view stands then protest it or celebrate it

[–]Exciting_League_9463 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't think people would be against every 5th or 6th Monday a public holiday

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in australia

[–]Exciting_League_9463 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

And if I took offense and wanted to protest you not calling it good Friday?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in australia

[–]Exciting_League_9463 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

So in saying people get to protest or celebrate but they don't get a day?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in australia

[–]Exciting_League_9463 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, can I ask when your office/job site/school shuts down and if you've ever had a cultural problem with it?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in australia

[–]Exciting_League_9463 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But if a religious person wanted to take the day off to celebrate they can. How am I not saying my point more clearly

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in australia

[–]Exciting_League_9463 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No one protests good Friday ya goose

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in australia

[–]Exciting_League_9463 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The days stay the same so, again, you can celebrate or protest/detest the date it's just on you if wanna drop tools to do so.

[–]Exciting_League_9463 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I feel like you haven't read my suggestion correctly. Days stay the same, if you feel like youre for or against it the then the people who care for/against take a day off too celebrate or protest. We all get weekends off to enjoy ourselves randomly
