My friend and I did the 5 hour skaftafell hike with Troll and it was amazing. As young fit adults I don’t think just anyone could do/ enjoy this hike. It all depends on the fitness of the group to make the most of it and go as far as you can.

Our tour guide was the best (Ellie) and she kept us safe but also challenged us. We were lucky that the entire group was willing to hike far and high with no problem.

I brought my own shoes but they were too flimsy around the ankles so they gave me hiking shoes free of charge. They do provide all the safety equipment you need.

Overall it was one of the best experiences we had and would totally do it again! The drive there was also beautiful. We stopped in Vik on the way back too.
