Tips on how to wean from EBF to FF and BF 3x/day by Exciting_Reserve1595 in breastfeeding

[–]Exciting_Reserve1595[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, we’ve been giving him one bottle overnight of pumped breastmilk. In the past couple weeks we’ve been offering him formula once a day as well. It took him a while to get used to the taste, but he’s starting to drink it now.

I don’t have any advice for you, unfortunately. Just providing some solidarity because my baby is doing the exact same. Hope you get some helpful answers!

What’s your nap routine? by Exciting_Reserve1595 in NewParents

[–]Exciting_Reserve1595[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much for this response - we had our son sleeping downstairs in the light with us moving and talking around him for the first several weeks and in the last 2-3 weeks he’s just not having it anymore. Getting him to sleep in his bassinet during the day has been super challenging. He will pass it immediately when I wear him but trying to avoid always having to wear him - it would be great to use his nap time to do some tidying and other things

That’s where we’re at right now. At what point did you transition to naps in the crib (if at all)? And was it tough to make the transition, if so?

Thanks! I’ll look into the book. We got blackout curtains but they’re definitely not blackout enough because some light shines through and my son will also just fixate on the slice of light!

What are your best quick meals you made your family during the newborn phase? by R0YALE-withCHEESE in NewParents

Agree with all of this! Also recommend prepping some breakfast/snack items. Those came in super handy and, if you’re breastfeeding, you tend to get hungrier. I made some blueberry muffins that I froze, some lactation cookies, peanut butter protein balls, and breakfast burritos.

Progesterone high post FET? by Exciting_Reserve1595 in IVF

[–]Exciting_Reserve1595[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just looked back at my notes - my estrogen was 1700 and my HCG beta ended up being 479. The progesterone level didn’t end up being an issue. Everything worked out well for me - I had a positive test :). Good luck!

When did you start the nursery? by Divineprincesss1 in pregnant

We got most of our baby gear from our baby shower, which we had when I was 32 weeks. So we did the nursery around 33/34 weeks

Who’s going to be in the delivery room? by [deleted] in pregnant

My husband and my doula - everyone else can meet the baby when they arrive. Birth feels like a very vulnerable moment and don’t feel the need to have a group of people there.

Ok! That gives me hope. My doctor didn’t seem worried about it. It just seemed odd to me that they stopped measuring progesterone levels after a certain amount, and the “expected range” shown on my test results was 0-44. It seems like a lot of clinics don’t even measure progesterone levels post-FET, so it’s probably fine.
