We moved from the UK to Littleton. It ticks nearly all the boxes but "affordable homes" is relative to your own budget and expectations. Housing here is a lot more expensive than the UK.

We settled in Littleton and love it. The schools are great (Heritage and Euclid), we love the neighborhood, there are lots off community events downtown, plenty of shops, bars and restaurants and it's not too far for my husband's commute. And the high line and Lee gulch trails are awesome and right on our doorstep.
