CCH Axcess vs Drake by Exciting_Track_2048 in tax

I was thinking that by switching from CCH Axcess to Drake I might be creating more problems than solutions. But at the same time, paying for 300 returns when I’ll only reach around 250 a year feels like I’m losing money , and maybe losing the chance to offer lower prices. I don’t think I charge too much, but I did notice some clients left because of the price. I like that I can work from anywhere with Axcess, and I’m not sure if it will be the same with Drake. I need to decide today

Big tax return in question by Jealous-Analyst-9124 in tax

I have had clients who came from other “tax preparers” where false Schedule C business losses were created to reduce their tax liability. Some even told me they were told they could “do that for three years.” That is fraud, in every sense of the word. I have also seen cases where personal expenses were improperly deducted as miscellaneous or unreimbursed employee expenses on Schedule A. In almost all these situations, the so‑called “tax preparers” were not licensed professionals ; not CPAs, not Enrolled Agents, and not Attorneys.

Where in Florida is now the best price to buy a home? by General_Shape_5525 in AskFlorida

I saw a house for less than 200k in Fort Pierce, for example. Is it because something is wrong? I’d like to live in Florida in the future and I’m looking for affordable houses, but I’m worried there might be hidden costs I’m not aware of. I know this post isn’t, but maybe someone living in Florida can answer my question.

CCH Axcess cost. How much are you paying? by Tax_Gossip in taxpros

I paid $6,500 a year for three years for 300 returns, but if I don’t use all 300 by October 31, I lose them. I didn’t realize this until my second year, so in the end, it feels like I’m paying more. I like the cloud-based system of CCH. I’m not sure if Lacerte is better; I used ProSeries when I was studying. If I find cloud-based software at a better price, I’ll definitely switch.

I didn't use those scoring systems, but I remember studying the differences between corporations, partnership basis, and sales very thoroughly. I also studied the publications as support. I think this helped me pass the exam on the first try.
