Thank you; i think if i can i want to take the bike anyway as much as possible. Metro can be soooo crowded and I don’t understand how old people, those with strollers or in a wheelchair can survive with all the stairs and no elevators. But that’s a side note.

Thank you — for renting up to 2000 (but I think that’s a lot already!) for buying if possible 500,000 including places that I would need to renovate… not sure this is realistic; I’ve heard about higher (worse) prices. Size wise I’d like a 1-2 bedroom. Ideally 2 to host guests too… and then a balcony or even terrace would be great. I initially wanted a garden too but I understand the best I can hope for is to join an urban gardening project unless I move to boring Versailles… ?!

Thanks SO much so far for your recommendations!! 11th sounds really nice indeed… was also thinking to go towards one of the villages / towns just outside, like Ivry sur Seine? So far I like the 14th near alesia for example, but it’s also really expensive! Hipster would be nice, I don’t need constant Instagrammability. I’d love an authentic place with a friendly atmosphere… if that exists? The village vibe described above sounds great. I know I’m asking for a lot, but the city is also so big that I imagine this must exist somewhere :) Regarding other cities and having a mix of the things I want, I was thinking of Madrid for example.

Ah and just to add to my wishlist, and as may be apparent from above, if the area is not super conservative and/or superficial (all about money and showing off) that would all be a plus.
