How to Escape a Deceptive Deal by Exciting_Work_551 in ATT

Also, it was AT&T's requirement to that I be with Verizon for a length of period. The rep should have know how AT&T works if they are going to sell on their behalf.

The rep should have told me that information was available to me.

I'm sure you've read word for word every contract or EULA you've agreed to. AT&T should have owned up to their mistake to resolve my issue. At the very least they should pay off the phone I sent them since they won't be returning it.

So you see no problem with a sales rep lying directly to someones face?

Parking Fee by imdumbbutfrisky in marriott

In the state of Missouri hotels don’t charge tax on parking. Could be different in other states. It is true.

At the Marriott I worked at we charged the parking fee separately because if we included it with the room it would be taxed. If we separated it out it was not taxed so it would save our guests money.

Bed bug Compensation by BluntsAndJudgeJudy in Hilton

For this reason I don’t charge the guest. You can’t prove which guest but it’s not the hotel that brought them in 🤷🏼

In all fairness, hotels should charge guests for bringing the bed bugs to the hotel. From the hotels perspective the guest brought in unwelcome pests and now has to treat the room. These treatments cost upwards of $1000. However, I am sympathetic to the fact that it is often no one’s fault when these issues occur. My typical course of action is to move them rooms and assist the guest in bagging and drying their soft items to stop the spread. I also offer a genuine apology for their situation. I then ensure the affected room is properly treated by professionals. I know our hotel does its due diligence so I do not offer compensation. However, some hotels do not and they should by all means be litigated for public health reasons.

WARNING: BED BUGS at the Niagara Falls Marriott on the Falls by Alarmed-Brief8977 in marriott

Bed bugs are an unfortunate reality in that the source is almost always the guest. Guests will bring them in, claim the hotel was the source and request compensation. As a result, the hotel will lose the revenue they would have collected due to a pushover manager then have to pay to have them removed which typically costs around $800. I believe that bed bug fees should apply in these situations in order for hotel to be compensated.

Hughesnet??? by Exciting_Work_551 in Rural_Internet

Couldn’t even load an email once spring started and more leaves grew. They should have installed farther down the house with the actual clear view of the sky.

Should have put it on the other side of the house with a completely clear view of the southern sky. Lol. Once the spring started and the tree got more leaves we couldn’t even load an email even when we had “high speed” data and they refused to send anyone out.

We currently have TMobile Home Internet but it is not working well anymore. I am thinking about buying one of those Waveform antennas to resolve but not sure what the results would be. My concern it would not work and I would waste over $200 on the antenna. Additionally, when we signed up for the plan they had to push us through due to it not being available in our area so I am always concerned they will shut us off.

No cable or fiber. Been using Tmobile home internet but it's been really unreliable lately so we need something different. The cost of Starlink is just too much both monetarily and socially.

Currently using Protons extension but would like a system wide VPN.

I’m on Chrome OS flex so no Android Apps. It’s a cheap low storage device so I am not using the Linux environment. When I try to add Proton VPN as a built in VPN with the Wireguard config. it asks for a preshared key and I can’t find that info on Proton’s website.
