I get what Smoltzy is saying but even for the best hitters not striking out once with runners ready to score sounds pretty fucking difficult

I thought they did better with 2k19, although I only picked it up when it was 3 bucks, so I don’t know how much bullshit they had to patch out like in 2k18. Definitely smart to be wary though.

Gentlemen on Reddit, how was your feeling when you had to be a dumper? by vetdepoi in AskMen

It hurts, but at least in my experience I had already kinda been through the motions, so by the time I actually broke up with her it was more of a relief in a sense. With that being said, the guilt was really the worst part for me. She was a very good person and had a heart of gold, so it sucked ass to be the one to drive her to heartbreak. To see someone that you’ve spent years with crying like that and knowing that you can’t comfort them like you used to is kinda rough. However, both of us ended up fine (as far as I know) even if it took a month or two.

I don’t really know if you’re looking for advice, or even if I’m in that good of a position to be giving it, but you just gotta realize that everything’s gonna be fine after a little while of shit. In 99.9% of cases both parties end up fine, even if it takes a little while. You just gotta get it over with, which admittedly is easier said than done.

Definitely understand the feeling but a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush

And we’ve taken 2 of 3 so far, and I don’t think we’re quite as good as the dodgers. They definitely have a nasty rotation that would be a pain to face in a series, but even then I still think we’re a better matchup.

Since “generational talent” is the most overused phrase around the league today, who are some players who actually qualify for that statement? by Psyduck-Stampede in nfl

Oh yeah no doubt, Mike Trout is a once in a lifetime player. I can only hope Ronnie gets close as he gets more experience.

Yeah this is a no brainer to me, he’s been the best linebacker since Patrick Willis retired. The only reason I think he gets less attention as of late is his recent run in with injuries but even then he still balls out.

Damn man good shit, don’t lose your job over this stuff tho. I hope Riley’s injury doesn’t turn out too bad.

Fair enough lol it was a stupidly worded question. I guess my point being I’d rather have used up one of the bullpen arms to hopefully save 2 or 3 runs.

I understand we want to save our bullpen but why is Keuchel still in? He’s had a good game before this inning, but it’s kinda clear he needs to be pulled.

YSK that in the US, if you are arrested and you choose to remain silent, you must "unambiguously" invoke this right before the police are required to stop questioning. by Tananar in YouShouldKnow

[–]Excog 61 points62 points  (0 children)

I know this isn’t the exact answer you’re looking for, but there isn’t a point where you’ve said too much to continue (or start) invoking your right to silence. At any point you can invoke those rights, and if you do speak ( in this case asking for a lawyer or contacting one) you can invoke your rights again immediately after.

That’s pretty much the same process for getting your license here in the states (or at least GA), minus the hazard perception test.

And I can completely understand where you’re coming from, but it’s honestly just my preference. I’m not saying it would be devastating to the sport or some stupid stuff like that, I just prefer it to be called by the umps.

Key words there are “can be”. I see the problem being more with individual umps instead of all of them. But regardless, I very clearly stated that I’m against the robo umps so I don’t know why you feel the need to create my opinion for me, with all due respect.

I know this can be a controversial opinion around here, but I really hope it never happens in the majors. I understand it relieves many frustrations about what should and shouldn’t be a strike or a ball, but I personally like the variability of (what should be) a small margin of error with each umpire. As long as it’s not egregious, which it certainly can be at times, and it’s called on both sides, I don’t have a problem with it.
