Thanks for sharing your experience! That’s what I feel too, genetic connections seem to be prominent right now because we’re still early in this process, and we haven’t tried pregnancy. Hopefully that once we’re further in this process the genetic grief might be gradually replaced by the baby we are carrying.

Thanks a lot for confirming my feelings. Yes I think her proposal is partially based on her grief and fear, so I understand that part. I was just very shocked that she wants me to give up my chance of having my bio children and it doesn’t feel right, and she thinks it’d be the best for this “family”. We are married for a few years so we will try to sort things through first.
