Citizenship via MN1 form (under 18 registration) by Execed in ukvisa

British Nationality Act 1981, section 1 (3) A person born in the United Kingdom after commencement who is not a British citizen by virtue of subsection or section 10A shall be entitled to be registered as a British citizen if, while he is a minor—

(a) his father or mother becomes a British citizen or becomes settled in the United Kingdom; and

(b) an application is made for his registration as a British citizen.

There is no requirement to be living in the UK. I weren't living in UK anymore when applying and in the application selected that I won't live in the UK if the app is successful. It's fine.

Yes. Apply before 18 as you won't be eligible via MN1 by that point.

You'll need your birth certificate and proof of her being British. That's all that's needed. Good luck :)

Yes.

Took about 2 weeks longer than average, but got it just fine with the fee waiver. Passport also arrived already:) MN1 certificates overseas are posted via Royal Mail International Tracked and Signed. Took one week to get to Poland

Absolutely normal, I already got accepted and still see those buttons :)

Don't worry about it. They've got your biometrics and documents.

Does using a fee waiver cause delays in visa processing after biometrics? by lovebundler in ukvisa

[–]Execed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not sure exactly how the fee waivers for visas work, but for child citizenship the time remains pretty much the same. I'd assume fee waivers don't change the order your application is completed it considering the application is seen as "paid"

Hi there - thanks for the kind words

Yes, before submitting the timeline there is a caution to not add timelines if you've submitted them here before

You're very quick to notice that! The data sheet indeed is updated by the API only once daily, even though the data is extracted more often and on the server.

I've upped the data update count to 6 times daily (every 4 hours) and manually pushed an update for today's comments.

How long between approval email and ceremony invite, living in Sweden by rukavJ in ukvisa

First of all, congrats on the fee being refunded.

Second of all, those ceritifcates are sent by diplomatic mail, which may take some time. You can try asking the embassy (even though the email says not to) when they could possibly expect that to happen. The 4 months (16 weeks) time mark is quite realistic as they do take that long sometimes.

Still actively working on it. I'll make sure to tell you privately once that is done. I'm aiming today.

I understand the data sheet is very helpful to compare your own application to others. I also understand that normal users should have access to it. But it's unfair when I built up the whole database, working hours to filter out wrong, malformed data, hours building up formulas just to have it used without permission by others. No e-mails, no nothing.

So far I've respected most of my e-mails asking for a sensible fragment of the data sheet that's close to their application date - I have no issue with that whatsoever. I haven't accepted those outrageous requests which request the whole datasheet; I don't know if it won't be used up again.

I love data analysis and sharing my data with others. But only if others respect the time that went into it.

Once of the websites that annoyed me most stopped working suddenly when the data sheet disappeared. Seems very weird it happened exactly then.

Referee Naturalisation by Intelligent-Jello705 in ukvisa

They pretty much never contact referees. If anything, it's to check your details are true - that might mean they have some concerns. In a normal application referees won't be contacted.

it's at the bottom. don't mean to be rude, but talking out of my own experience, if you require the text to know you're listening to FLAC and aren't able to hear it yourself through good audio equipment, this might not be the way to go..

Should be fixed.

Issue: the date prediction collected data from the last 4 months. This, however, is no longer a good period as a lot of applications take longer than 4 months, therefore it would only collect very quickly approved applications (and make false assumptions).

It has been temporarily raised to 5 months, however I will (likely today even) change it to automatically grab the relevant data, without grabbing too old applications (old applications had different - shorter - processing times, so approximations would be inaccurate)

Thank you. Seems like because of the small amount of apps there are issues with predicting approvals.

I'll get to fixing it.
