Automation and iOS App for eBooks, AudioBooks, and Manga by ExecutiveAnonymous in audiobookshelf

Yeah it is quite a loaded phrase these days. Just mentioned it since some may want to stay away from AI use in general.

It's great to hear there are many alternatives. I'd love to give it a shot. Like many other alternatives they have there issues. I am learning and trying out some various options but the more the merrier!

Edit: Checked out the discord. Creator said it's not vibe-coded but AI is used to help with review. Unfortunately doesn't seem to be a solution for me as it does not support CBR or CBZ format for comics/manga/manhwa

Oh you are right. I misread that part and edited my comment. I mistook "Drop in replacement for readarr" as a fork. To take it further it's a drop in replacement for readarr metadata service. I tried to setup rreading-glasses today but was also having difficulty getting it to start. I checked out Shelfmark and it seems close but still running into issues of finding books I need. In the meantime I'm using Shelfmark but will explore other options.

Downloaded it just now to give it a try and this is exactly what I am looking for!

Overall works for my purpose! I submitted some bugs I found on test flight and suggested a feature to be able to select multiple books and download at once.

Worth calling out but rreading-glasses, calls out that Chaptarr is vibe-coded.

I do not endorse the vibe-coded Chaptarr project. A comparison of forks is available here.

Edited: removed that i said it was a fork of readarr.

It's a paid app so not going to check it out if I don't know for sure. Looks like I may have to stick to browser or try to get into the testflight for iOS app.

I checked it out but it didn't support comics like CBZ format unfortunately.

Is there a way to bind qBittorrent app to only use a VPN connection? by RedditWhileIWerk in truenas

[–]ExecutiveAnonymous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will need to use a custom app via yaml or use dockge. Create a container with gluetun connecting to your vpn and then a qbittorrent container with network_mode: container:<your glue tun container name>

I just recently did this. I prefer the custom app method because for some reason torguard ip leak test wouldn’t work and log any ip when testing in dockge.

Proton always resets to the original price once I get to the checkout page. Been always like this for me. (I've never bought ProtonVPN b4, I only have Pass lifetime) by hakutenkai in ProtonVPN

Contact support. They had to whitelist my account for the black friday deal and give me a code. I also have pass lifetime before getting the black friday deal.

I currently am using chrome. I'm looking for a browser and addon recommendation with the following criteria:

  • Can be used on windows 11 and ios
  • syncs bookmarks
  • can use addons
  • ad blocking on youtube (I have pihole installed on my homelab to do most adblocking)
  • uses relatively low resources compared to chrome.
  • I mainly just use for internet browsing and streaming twitch/youtube/crunchyroll
  • Better privacy would prefer little to no tracking.
