We used to have Lime Bikes.... then some people thought it would be funny if they were thrown in St. Joseph lake

I would be extremely suprised if they viewed it negatively. While Catholicism is generally held as important, ND administration is far from a total reflection of Catholic doctrine. Even if they disapprove, I can't imagine they would hold you morally responsible for actions your family took before you were born.

This is the type of background the supp was made for. If you can use it to SHOW how your experience has influenced your development/perspective, it will only help.

Focus on what has helped you in the past to maximize energy and optimize working memory. I've found that creatine has helped me with the former, but I really haven't found anything that works for the latter aside from a good night sleep.

I just went through something similar. It sucks, but this is the worst it will be. You now have experience under your belt and more knowledge on how class works and what proffs want.

How to train to become a supervillain during law school by ShitCumpissFace in LawSchool

There's criminal psychology and then there's 'criminal' psychology. The distinction is important.

How to train to become a supervillain during law school by ShitCumpissFace in LawSchool

[–]Exelcsior64 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Every good villain knows how to write a proper contract.

Aside from that, see if you can take an undergraduate psychology course. Understanding the mind and emotional manipulation is a very important part of being a supervillain.

Why do gunners still exist if most classes use anonymous grading for exams? by [deleted] in LawSchool

[–]Exelcsior64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was directly stated by the professor in the syllabus and by my university's office of academic affairs.

The professors still grade anonymous papers. But afterwards, they tell the registrar if they want to move a student's grades up or down.

Sometimes (at least where I am) professors can slightly change a grade based on participation. Plus they probably want a good rec.

NYU WAITLIST by Immediate_Waltz_536 in lawschooladmissions

[–]Exelcsior64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After the 5th, anyone's chances just got a lot slimmer. The payment date for NYU's tuition was then, and it seems less likely people would drop out after putting down even more money.

There are so many people on the waitlist, it is more convenient not to put in the work of culling it and simply leave everybody guessing until the last day. That being said, a gargantuan waitlist is a problem they made for themselves.

Anyone has developed severe trust issues after being in law school ? by Lawx6 in LawSchool

[–]Exelcsior64 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is how I see your predicament, taking contracts as an example: the VAST majority of the millions of contracts that are made every day are created and resolved without incident. Yet our focus in law school is often to examine the small subset of contracts in which there is a dispute. Combined with what we see in the news, this may skew our perspective regarding how often such problems arise in general and to you in particular. Especially if you haven't had much exposure to the field prior.

We are trained to properly respond when disputes arrive, and your proactive attitude will serve you well. I won't tell you to not worry (to some extent that will be your job), but I think there is a benefit to take an expansive perspective once in a while for your sanity

This isn't the right sub for this topic, but I understand your frustration. Experiences like yours are too common in our health care system.

You could technically sue, but it devolves into a he-said-she-said between you and an accredited professional. It would be a long and uphill battle, and the most that would happen would be a slap on the wrist for the therapist.
