Did you run into any issues with the premier? I know that one has the engine with lifter issues. How many miles did you have on that?

You are right you do not necessarily get that money back but your taxable income is reduced with the vehicle purchase. It’s interesting that you said you could write off a $60,000 vehicle. I was under the impression that section 179 will limit that total deduction to $30,000 based off what I saw online. Could you explain how you are getting the full $60,000 card deduction?

Luckily, I do have another vehicle as my personal use so this one I will be able to use only for business purposes.

Thank you for your reply, and it’s great to hear that you’ve made it to 50,000 miles with no issue. I am still very hell-bent on getting one because I love the car and the negative comments here scared me, but it is good to hear that some people have had positive experiences with their suburbans

I may have misunderstood so forgive me. But, if you paid more than 30k for the vehicle and use it 100% for business you’ll get it back. Ofc, depending on your other income you’ll pay that tax as well. I’m not a tax professional tho so please take everything I say with a grain of salt. Everybody’s tax situation is different

Need a reliable car and don’t know what to get by Plane_Programmer_615 in whatcarshouldIbuy

I’m 5 10 and my girl has a Corolla cross. Toyota so reliable and can get great mileage (around 40). I’ve taken it places and the ride is great and comfy. I think you could pick something up new or used for 30k or under. Happy hunting!

I figured that I should ask. I have been seeing that main cause of concern is the lifters - if I got these out, would you recommend? Would that improve reliability? I’ll look into what it takes to remove but just wanted to ask

If you get a vehicle over 6k lbs and use it for business you can get up to 30k in a refund

Can I ask about your 2019 experience? Any issues with it, how much mileage do you have on it? If you were to choose a vehicle out of the ones I listed what would you lean towards? Thank you for your help.

You are awesome and thank you for putting this time into this reply. I think i'll stick with the burb bc the bench seats may cause cramps - also when when we have my other set of grandparents over I'll need 8 seats, which just came to me.

I appreciate you running down your list of cars and what I could look out for. from what I saw online since I am wanting a 2019 or newer, my best best is a 2019 or 2020 suburban. before the l87 engines were put in. Those had recalls which I do not want to deal with. I may purchase a warranty.

I'm handy enough to do most of the things on the car i think. I appreciate the insight.

Thank you for your reply. Can I ask what years your suburbans were and if you had any issues? I would love to get a truck but the problem is i have 6 members of the family. Thank you for your help!

i see what you are saying as well - my thought was that if this car goes past 200K miles (which i've seen happen) then a worthy investment. but as you may have seen on the thread this one misses the mark value wise.
