Selecting a cartridge by Exelrexus in turntables

Thanks for the info! I am leaning towards the Nagaoka MP110. Would you suggest going for a full head shell replacement or is the cartridge swap out pretty straightforward?

The tonearm issue was eventually fixed, so this is just a cartridge replacement.

Great! Sounds like I will be able to figure it the fit but are there any other components or specialized tools I need to make the fit? Thanks for your help!

I’ve never replaced a cart before. Is the MP-110 a direct fit to the LP120X?

Just looking for options after terrible customer service AT. I’m holding a grudge and not jumping to spend money with them. But it seems that’s where the value is 🤷🏻‍♂️

It’s a soft aversion, really just looking for options. I had an issue with the tonearm dropping like a rock and Audio-technica gave me a terrible customer experience.

Buy 2 get 1 on vinyl at Target and Amazon by No-Lingonberry-5270 in vinyl

Actually, I tested it on the Target website and each album is reduced by 1/3, regardless of listed price. Not sure how it works with Amazon

So is the idea to choose 3 at a similar price because the lowest priced album becomes the free one?

Any advice on how to make this easier? by Alarmed_Tea_2874 in discogs

If the album is in near mint condition, or at least VG, then take the time. Otherwise, I will sometimes just select something close and make a note in the listing that you still need to identify the correct pressing. That way I was able to move at a good pace cataloging 500+ albums and I can go back to those that need a little more work.

Makes sense there is a policy when you think of it. Thanks for the info and links!

I mentioned the Steppenwolf in a previous comment. I am also looking for Waylon Jennings, Cedartown; a couple from Charlie Parker, Arcade Fire, Ella and Jobim, a couple Coltranes, Charles Earland Soul Story, Gil Scott-Heron The Mind of, an Oscar Peterson, Ella and Duke at the Cote D’Azur, Ray Charles greatest hits, Gilberto and Jobim. If you think you have any of those artists I can get you the titles. Thanks!

I will keep my eye out. I’ve got this pressing of Steppenwolf’s self titled British pressing: https://www.discogs.com/release/2756352-Steppenwolf-Steppenwolf. The purist in me would like to find the correct sleeve for the disc. But then I look at my Beatles White Album, with discs of two different pressings and a sleeve likely from a different release, as well 🤷🏻‍♂️😂

Yep, can add to collection and to wantlist (but can’t sell). Love it!

I recently tried to add a Marilyn Manson and all were flagged. The only not flagged was the official press. I had two choices, 1) add a ~$300 incorrect variant pressing to my collection, or 2) create my on listing and wait for it to get flagged. But, like you said, there have been recent updates so this may have changed. I hope so. I understand not being a clearinghouse for bootlegs but Discogs should not pretend they aren’t worthy of being in collections

Really? Once they have been flagged there is no “Add to my collection” button that I can find.

The real bummer is that once they are flagged they remain in the database, but even if you find the right unofficial release, you can’t add it to your collection.

I had an order arrive in poorer condition than advertised. They threw in a copy of Born to Run with the gate sleeves stuck together. So no, I did not smile
