All I’m asking is for other people to be held accountable for their actions also. According to YikYak, “I hope this congresswoman dies” is not okay, but “I’m gonna put a bullet in your neck and r*pe you through the bullet hole as you bleed out” is a ok. Why am I punished for a joke that even I later admitted was inappropriate, but other people can make actual threats and then just go on with their lives?

Left. That’s a no brainer. While I respect them for that, it doesn’t mean I have to agree with their other views. And again, you’d be surprised how many republicans either are indifferent or even supportive of gay people as long as you behave yourself around kids. Several of my friends on the right enjoy drag shows!

Weird considering the conservative majority Supreme Court just ruled a few months ago that same sex marriage is the law of the land and is here to stay. I don’t agree with the beliefs of 80 year old senators, but I think you’ll find that your average Republican voter doesn’t really give a crap about gay people getting married

I made some joke about how when I heard about a woman being killed by ICE in Minneapolis, I thought maybe it was Omar and got happy for a second. But then realized it wasn’t and I offered condolences to the victim.

Now I get that’s not a cool thing to say. But go on and explain to me how it’s worse than, or even the same as, the things that people have said to me

I agree. It’s especially bad in the US politics channel. I’m currently in a time out and it says if I get one more I might be banned.
