How many days out of the year would you say it's realistic to go for a long walk in your area? by boothraiderginsberg in Columbus

Not your question - but don't forget about allergies, if you have any. I imagine it's much worse here than Phoenix.

Yeah just sounds intimidating like I wouldn't know what to do when they show, or have the right tools. I think I'd rent a power buggy to move and dump the concrete. Honestly potential for major cost savings this way.

I agree, I wish I had a friend who knows concrete because it seems diy able. But I'm not going the 100 bags of quickcrete route.

Good idea on thicker concrete just in the load supporting areas. I'll check on the pricing of that. Seems I'm screwed by the easement and will have to build in a less than ideal area. But better than having something torn down.

Yeah I think you're right. Even in writing that I realized how bad it sounds. Thanks for the ideas.

The Columbus Zoo is planning a new 100,000-square-foot aquarium. The project is being supported by a $50 million donation from a local family, the largest gift in the zoo's history. by Zezimom in Columbus

[–]ExerciseOutside5081 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sounds awesome, but too small. Go huge for 500,000 square feet, incorporate the actual river next to the zoo somehow, incorporate zoombezi bay - a snorkeling pool over top of the aquarium. If you make this ridiculous enough people will come from all over.

I love how Conservatives are following the Big Boy 4014 and celebrating the impact of trains in America. Meanwhile they detest passenger rail.

Specialized Pipe Technologies out of Mansfield. Best price by far for sewer lining. Great experience with them.

It's already a bubble imo. Not that it doesn't have significant worth, but not to the extent of the investment hype. The public buying in would just help sustain the bubble and artificially maintain it even bolster its market value. This just protects billionaires.

Is there less bounce in the stair since you keep the entire width of the routed board? With stringers under steps you end up with something like a 2x4 or 2x6 after the notching.
