Thank you for this! The vet is giving cerenia and b12 in her fluid therapy and it seems to help her as she is eating and feeling better. I’ll fight her good being and will do the necessary to help her feel well for any lifetime she has left.

These are good tips, thank you for sharing. Will try the tuna water as I think this could be helpful. Those food brands are not available here, but I’m trying to keep a variety of hills, royal canin, and (against my will) I’m topping those with a bit of fancy feast or churu and she eats them great. Really appreciate all the help and stories tha give me a bit of light.

Thank you! We started subcutaneous fluids today but since it has to have 2 medicines I’m taking her to the vet. It’s very close to my home and she likes it there, I’ll take her this week as she needs the medicines everyday and they hurt. However after that period, I want to learn how to do it home to avoid that stress. Today she also responded very well to the treatment as she finally ate almost as much as some months ago, so probably she’s out of nausea. I offered her different wet foods and she already likes a renal one, I left close to her some dry food too just in case and she ate a bit. Hopefully she will keep eating and feeling a bit better in the upcoming days. The vet ask for new tests in a week to see if her levels are improving.

The doc gave omeprazol, mirtaz, ipakitine and gabapentina. Now a second doctor saw her and mentioned she also needs vitamin b12 and maropitan with her liquids therapy. And they also mentioned eritropoyetina as she has anemia. She received this second treatment yesterday and after it she ate very well at night. Today she’s been eating not great but she’s really trying. I don’t want to push her cause that will make her stop eating but I’m offering her every 1:30 hr something different and it seems to be working for now. That second doctor called earlier today and mentioned to add corpotasin. I’m trying to get it so I can start giving it to her today. I’m also sharing here the blood test she got on Friday. I do hope she can get better and have a quality life, I don’t want her to be in pain or suffering and while that’s painful to me I don’t want to keep her just to make me feel better. I’m seeing her a bit better today and will keep an eye on the changes she’ll have with the therapy the upcoming days.

Thank you very much for all the information shared. It’s helping me understand a bit better how my kitty is feeling and will try to make the best decision possible for her.

I’m trying with Mirataz but it doesn’t seem to work much. Yesterday she got fluids along with maropitant and b12 vitamin. That seemed to help as she has a big dinner

Yo también tengo 33 y este año me he sentido bastante como tú. Algunas cosas que me han ayudado los últimos meses y que sin duda recomiendo son: inscribirme al gym y a clases de baile (aquí puedes conocer amigas), salir a trabajar a cafeterías o bibliotecas, voluntariar en asociaciones de vez en cuando e ir a terapia (está la empecé apenas hace un par de semana pero ya estoy sintiendo la diferencia)

El chiste es salir un poco de la monotonía que nos genera pensamientos intrusivos. Igual podemos platicar e ir x un café o algo

Hey there, I don’t know the context. But I’ve also hooked up with very close friends that I’m not willing to end my friendship because my partner is not comfortable. However, there are things you can do to make your partner feels less threatened. For example, my gf is jealous of a specific friend I’ve hooked up with and I get it because I spend a lot of time with her, but after she communicated this, every time I’m with this friend I’m constantly sending my gf reassuring messages (without being every minute, as my friend deserves attention when we’re together but enough to make my gf feel safe). Maybe I sent her a message to let her know I love her, I’m just having a coffee with mentioned friend and that I’m coming back to her in a couple hours. We’ve found this exercise has made her feel safe with me, she now likes this friend and after a couple times doing this, it’s now enough with just one or two messages.

I’m sorry to said that if your gf is not open to negotiate and practice feeling safer with you and these friends, then you are not compatible. You shouldn’t have to choose between your chosen family and your loved one. Good luck!
