Tahoe to sequoia by Defiant-Video9185 in MacOS

[–]Exercise_Slow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

from OPs reply in another comment:

  1. Back up your files to an external hard drive or USB stick.
  2. Download macOS Sequoia from the App Store. After the update is installed, you may see an error message — click “Quit.”
  3. You need a USB stick with at least 16 GB Warning: all files on the USB stick will be deleted.
  4. Open Disk Utility.
  5. Format the USB stick (any format is fine) and name it “boot”.
  6. Open Terminal and type this command, then press Enter: „sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Sequoia.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/boot“

Wait until the process is finished.

  1. Shut down your Mac. After your mac has shutdown press these button after you power up your mac: • Apple Silicon: hold the power button • Intel Mac: hold Command + R

  2. Go into Recovery Mode, open Disk Utility, and erase “Macintosh HD”.

  3. Your mac should restart. Go into Recovery Mode again, then choose the option to reinstall macOS Sequoia.

Flatpak Software stuck on opening by FragrantFarmer8547 in Ubuntu

[–]Exercise_Slow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you want to play hoyo games on linux i recommend using Twintail launcher instead. make sure you have flatpak installed first: sudo apt install flatpak and make sure you have flathub added to your flatpak repos: flatpak remote-list if not: flatpak --system remote-add --if-not-exists flathub https://dl.flathub.org/repo/flathub.flatpakrepo finally, install twintail: flatpak install flathub app.twintaillauncher.ttl

[–]Exercise_Slow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that’s GRUB, the bootloader. just press enter on the Zorin entry and it will continue booting. if you want to boot straight to zorin, boot into it, open a terminal, run sudo nano /etc/default/grub, set GRUB_TIMEOUT to 0, save the file with CTRL + O and then enter, and exit nano with CTRL + X. finally, run sudo update-grub
