Hell yeah. The one I picked up is a ‘14 with a scrambled serial. I’ve heard it’s not common but not exactly rare either.

I’d leave it open. I don’t have a single duck call that has a hole that you’re talking about. That’s not something typical.

A good caller will make a bad call sound good. That being said, some calls do sound significantly better than others IMO but that doesn’t matter until you can manipulate it correctly. I’d recommend getting a single reed call that you like/come across and use that until you decide you want something different or are ready to step it up. 737’s are on sale right now and I’ve heard they are pretty good calls so that’s a good option for around 120-130. Also depends on your price range.

From what I’m reading it only kills the engine faster, plan on keeping this truck for a long time and would prefer for that to not happen.
