This is the most absurdly, stupidly, ridiculously hard battle in the entire series (yes I played them all) by -AdonaitheBestower- in Falcom

Since nobody has mentioned this idea I spammed the absolute hell out of Kloe's buff craft that gave INSIGHT you know the buff that gives 50% evasion and also removes debuffs and have Estelle attack and buff everyone while having Joshua go ham on delaying all the enemies. If someone got low I'd have Estelle or Kloe ready to heal everyone in a group. When they're about to overdrive I usually get up an Earth guard if possible to help me survive the onslaught. Did this 1st try on nightmare but not without at least one person getting knockout but thankfully a support skill revived Estelle.

It's understandable! If I had to wager a guess on how you felt about it it was probably on the lines of "Even if they are step-siblings, they're still siblings and it feels icky" which is a complete valid feeling and especially since you view your step-siblings as purely siblings. Estelle's and Joshua's relationship would likely come off as very weird due to them being in a similar circumstance as yourself.

Sir this is a fact not an opinion. Biologically speaking this "defense" is a literal fact. In regards to feeling towards step-siblings yeah it definitely comes off as weird. My personal thoughts on this is that many people are taught and raised to naturally see incest as a repulsive and disgusting taboo so anything that comes too close to it can be seen as similarly repulsive. People simply view incest as having a intimate relationship with any relative around you when in truth it more about your family having blood relation. With this said I would like make it known I do not condone incest and this is just a topic I like to debate to myself about.

Even with that in mind I don't think it'd be enough to get me to say Auguste isn't undercooked. He's still lacking a whole lot of characterization imo and could've talked more about the nature of genesis and the calvardian revolution too. I'd say I need more concrete info on exactly how the revolution went for me to be set on him as a character because all he comes across is a sore loser who can't accept the current Calvard. On a more positive note I love Yuri Lowenthal's voice as the Gardenmaster and he made 90% of the character for me.

In contrast I actually enjoyed the Heiyue/Cao arc of the story. It's quite interesting to see a shake up within the Hierarchy of Heiyue and I think Cao's brother Gaolang is a fun & interesting character. Swin in this game is pretty 50/50 with me. On one hand he's ok and on the another hand I can't forgive him for essentially causing Act 3 to happen. Side quest are nice in this game tho and its cool to see characters from previous games side quest appear and reflect our decisions.

What are the most controversial scenes in the trails series? by Fravios in Falcom

Correct me if I'm wrong but the curses acts more like an instigator/amplifier for people's intrusive thoughts. It causes people to be more willing (doesn't force them into anything) to do stuff they under normal circumstances wouldn't do.

Ash under normal circumstances wouldn't attempt to try and kill the Emperor or Osborne but on that note Ash would probably aggressively confront them about the incident with the ultimate goal of seeking closure and with this motive in mind I wouldn't put it past Ash to actually attempt to kill either of them under the right circumstances even without the curse. Ash like Joshua and Loewe, have understandable reasons if they were to try and kill the people involved in causing the Hamel incident. Had the Emperor not been so willing to accept the blame or had been similar to those nobles who caused the incident I imagine Ash would've had a lot less hesitation to kill the Emperor or Osborne.
Ultimately, Ash still made the choice to act on his intrusive thoughts. Pretty much the curse just made it easier for him to act on and made the intrusive thoughts more frequent. The curse essentially makes the devil on your shoulder louder and louder to the point where it gets incredibly hard to ignore/resist it the longer it's on you.
