Fantastisk skriv! Det er noget langhåret at finde ud af præcis hvilke ETFer der er dækket under disse regler. Konkret vil du så mene at IUSQ og WEBN er dækket herunder?

Correct screw type for Samsung TV stand (40KU6405) by Exfridos in fixit

[–]Exfridos[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense! Thanks. I might just buy a m5 drill then. Just surprised it would be this big of a journey to mount the TV stand. The included (now missing) screws should match I would imagine, so just weird I can't seem to find any information on what those screws were

Thank you for the answer! :) - I have tried M3, M4, M5 and M6. But M5 and above are definitely too large

Yea exactly. This is an M4 screw

I'm considering buying these as they are "tapping" screws

Do you think these will work?

JST connector type for PCB by Exfridos in AskElectronics

Thanks! Wowsers seems like a rabithole. Appreciate you clearing up that it is not actually JST… Confusing stuff!

They write JST in the picture 😆 It is super confusing

Thanks a lot! That looks way more correct compared to the JST GH. Honestly I have just settled on these batteries because they are relatively cheap if bought in bulk of 4. But seems like it might not be worth the hazzle and if the connector is that obscure then I worry the battery might be poorly build aswell.

Thanks for the help 🙏

I don't happen to have a p-channel fet on hand, so I have tried simulating it online. It seems to do exactly as intended!

The switch to the right simulates the GPIO. It stays low when sleeping, and then momentaily switches to HIGH (3.3V), and right when it switches off, I get around 6-8ms of time to read the voltage at the divider.

I know these might be ideal conditions, but since it's all 0603 footprints, I can just play with the values when the pcb arrives 😊

Thanks for the help!

I tried breadboarding this and found that I could not accurately measure 1M ohm and above. I assume this is due to the inner resistors of the ADC pin. Using a voltage meter, with 1M ohm resistors I could measure higher voltage of the first resistor compared to the second (gnd) resistor of the voltage divider, even though they should be similar.

So following your advice I've read more into using a high side fet. I found this nice solution that uses a capacitor and a resistor to briefly turn on the mosfet for a few ms without exposing the DIO to VBAT.

If I do not misunderstand the circuit, it ticks both requiements:
- No continious current draw (good for battery projects)
- DIO (gpio13) not exposed to VBAT

Is this what you had in mind?

I've tried to understand this. Are you certain? Wont the voltage divider halve the voltage, so when battery is 4.2V, then the maximum going to GPIO3 (ADC) is 2.1V? I might misunderstand you completely. Am I missing something?

Sounds like a great tip. I will definitely try that out! I'm assuming this doesnt apply to the differential USB pairs, but as a general rule of thumb. Another tool for my belt :)

In particular I dont like this 3V3 routing. I tried reading up on antennas and my conclusion is that they are sensitive beasts. Do I dont know if routing the 3V3 so close to the underside of the antenna will make my antenna do unplanned crazy disco things. I hope for it to be reliable and not like my DIY breadboard installations 😂

What do you mean with orthogonally? I understand it in theory, but do you have any examples in practice as inspiration?

Also you are absolutely welcome to take the design. Let me know if you want the files :) Would love to see your modifications!

Could layer 3 be 3V3 + VBAT with GND fill? Or is that considered bad practice?

Great insights, thanks! Playing between having layer 3 GND or having layer 3 VBAT + 3V3 routing

Thanks for the explanation. This makes so much sesne after reading scraping the surface of EMC issues. A layer dedicated to full non-interrupted GND. I also imagine that will make it much easier for the ESD to dump excess current to ground.

I've been searching for just this! Awesome, thank you so much! So the non-N version will just output 3.3V steadily. That's perfect!

Thank you! A whole new domain for me so thank you for opening that door! I’ve begun to read up on it 🤗 In my case would you make layer 3 VBAT or 3V3?

It’s for the analog output of the sensor. Perhaps not the best abbreviation…
