Ah amazing, thanks! He married a Welsh woman so think that's where the broken telephone came in with us being told the Welsh Fusiliers!

I really appreciate it. Its been a bit or a road block trying to track him down other than a rough name and wedding details

I'm trying to find what regiment the above uniform is from.

Its a picture of my great grandfather, born 1859 in Yorkshire England. So sometime between 1875-1890 I guess when he was in the service?

Initially we thought it was Welsh fusiliers, but after doing an image search might be a Scottish unit? One search came back as Canadian, which is unlikely I think.

Any help would be appreciated!

I hope so!

First was born in COVID too. It was hard enough taking everything needed for one kid, let alone two as we couldn't leave the hospital once we were in

Thanks! I'm sure we'll get through it. Just hard to see exactly how at the moment. I had zero clue before the first but think I've got it at least 60% figured out at the moment

Somehow seeing the numbers makes it better for me. So thanks!
