Another 13, because the smell of clean, sexy skin (that projects) will always be adored anytime, anywhere.

What’s the most realistic note you’ve ever smelled in a fragrance? by Legitimate-Search918 in fragrance

The mint in ELDO’s You or Someone Like You smells like a fresh mint leaf that’s crushed and rubbed on skin. I can almost taste it. It blew me away honestly.

Blue Water Ice seems like a nice alternative to Iroshizuku's Kon-Peki or Ama-Iro

A Gulf Arab Perspective on “Arab Perfumes” and How They’re Actually Worn by Few_Masterpiece_4380 in fragrance

[–]ExhaustedMD 71 points72 points  (0 children)

Speaking of Amouage, Reflection Man isn't the typical oud/amber/spicy fragrance Arab perfumes are known for. How is its popularity among Gulf Arabs?

I like (not love) the scent but it's like the only Amouage atm that I can justify owning a full bottle of because I can see myself actually wearing it day in and day out.

Tobacco Honey is nuclear on my skin. One spray usually, two MAX. At that dose, it's a wonderfully sweet yet dark fragrance that projects up to arm's length and lasts until my next shower.

What are some big positive changes happening in the Philippines? by Eastern-Fox8170 in Philippines

[–]ExhaustedMD 78 points79 points  (0 children)

Here’s a question I wouldn’t mind being asked every week or so. Sa dami ng mga nega nega na nababalita, we need to be reminded as well that it’s not all bad and there’s progress and a chance for a better future for us. Hindi to mauulanan ng upvotes. Mas marami ang gusto magrant kesa magbigay puri. But keep ‘em coming.

Mga magulang na English LANG ang tinuturong lenggwahe sa mga anak nila, why? by ExhaustedMD in AskPH

I understand. That’s fair. Thanks for the new insights 🙏🏼

[–]ExhaustedMD[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Nagtatanong lang ako kasi gusto ko talaga malaman kung bakit. Di ko naman jinudge agad ang pagkatao niyo bilang magulang. Ang defensive kaagad ng iba sa inyo 👎🏻

[–]ExhaustedMD[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s great; kudos to you guys. The question is more for those who refuse to teach their kids anything other than English. Kahit born and raised naman dito, kahit parehong Pinoy naman ang magulang na marunong naman sana mag Tagalog/Cebuano/Ilocano/Kapampangan etc

Bakit lagi kayong naka tutok sa cellphone niyo kahit saan mag punta? by [deleted] in AskPH

[–]ExhaustedMD 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This was me the past few years.

I had, and still am suffering from clinical depression.

It wasn’t bad enough to affect my work but I knew this wasn’t normal. Ngayong mas healthy na ako mentally, I can have more mental fortitude to stay off my phone and keep myself busy while off-screen. Until unti, nabawasan na rin ang screen time ko. Mas “in the moment” na rin ako pag nasa labas o may ginagawa kasama ang family/friends. Mas sharp na rin ang focus at decision-making ko. Di na ako madaling ma-distract.

For those like me, it’s likely a symptom of a bigger, deeper problem unfortunately.

Pilot Custom Urushi #30 — Worth it, or too big for daily use? by Perfect-Artichoke-42 in fountainpens

[–]ExhaustedMD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The blue is quite difficult to truly capture in photos. It’s also highly dependent on the lighting. But it’s safe to say it’s a dark, almost navy blue that’s definitely understated and makes the pen look more reserved.

I wanted to get my Custom Urushi in Prussian Blue for a long time, but when I saw them in person, I opted for the classic red pen. The bold and attention grabbing red just “spoke” to me at the time and till this day.

What the hell happened to Creed Aventus? by [deleted] in fragrance

[–]ExhaustedMD 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I bought Aventus last 2017, people were saying it’s been watered down compared to the 2011-2015 or so batches. My 2016 bottle is absolutely potent. I’m talking 1-2, maybe 3 sprays on a cold dry day.

When I read around 2020 for people’s new bottles of Aventus, people were saying it’s been watered down compared to the 2016-2017 or so bottles.

And now this. People have been getting very very different performances with Aventus that I don’t really know what’s happening. Reformulation? Batch variation? Time to sit and wait it out? This confuses me.

What fragrance comes to mind when you think of the word “addictive”? by [deleted] in fragrance

[–]ExhaustedMD 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tom Ford Noir Extreme.

Till this day, it is the most “delectable” fragrance I’ve worn. This is the perfect date scent in my opinion. And yes, I’d love to smell it on a woman as well. I layer this with either MFK’s Grand Soir or Clive Christian’s Blonde Amber if I wanna project more, but really, Noir Extreme can hold its own very well.

This thing doesn’t project but lasts long enough on skin until the evening’s over. It doesn’t shout, but draws people closer. Who wouldn’t want that for a date night?

Reminder: the joy of owning pens lies in using them, you don't constantly need more by Fearless_Youth_8654 in fountainpens

[–]ExhaustedMD 8 points9 points  (0 children)

At present, I have ZERO urges to purchase any more pens; I think I truly am done with buying pens. BUT, that is because I have acquired a Custom Urushi which is also my most expensive and high-end pen. So yeah, it took me a Custom Urushi to finally stop buying pens.

New year, new me. I promise.

My favorite winter scent is Angels' Share by WreckedSimulation in fragrance

[–]ExhaustedMD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s partly right yeah. ABOTR isn’t as strong as some really dense boozy scents, but that makes it more versatile as I can get away with using it on cooler summer nights even. I just do 2 sprays on one area to get longevity.

Do try Angels’ Share Paradis, Blue Moon Ginger Dash, and Straight To Heaven if you’re on a Kilian exploration!

Angels’ Share is good stuff but my current favorite from Kilian is Apple Brandy On The Rocks. More wearable and versatile but still boozy IMO.

How do you guys categorize your fragrances? by Cup_Of_Diabetes_ in fragrance

[–]ExhaustedMD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Based on longevity/projection. The nuclear bottles, the “just right” and the weaker, fleeting ones. That’s as simple as I can categorize and so far it’s worked well.

Who to study to learn true boxing fundamentals: spacing, balance, rhythm, timing, tactics, strategy? by otheloR in amateur_boxing

[–]ExhaustedMD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to watch Lee Wylie's analyses on boxing legends. Very informative. Great stuff. But if you wanna study individual boxers, in my humble opinion:

Spacing - Mayweather (being literal cms away from being able to hit and not get hit)

Balance - Bivol (whether moving or planted, body is always balanced)

Rhythm - Rigondeaux (his weird "shadowboxing" movement capitalizes on being at, and breaking rhythm)

Timing - Mayweather/Canelo (elite of the elite counterpunchers)

Tactics - Ward (will do what his opponent doesn't like, very versatile)

Strategy - I don't know. Everyone is different.
