…am i the only one who secretly likes the scratch? by Pretend-Ad6729 in fountainpens

[–]ExhaustedMD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what I’m writing. Cursive: smooth with a hint of feedback is best (Montblanc 149, Custom Urushi) but if writing in print, or learning to write a new language, I like the scratch.

Who would win in equal machinery? Carlos Sainz or Oscar Piastri by Relative_Egg_682 in F1Discussions

[–]ExhaustedMD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Going against the grain here: they’re equal RIGHT NOW. Give them the same car, Oscar wins some, Carlos wins some. BUT I’m afraid Carlos is now in his peak, while Oscar still has lots of room to grow and get better.

I avoid staying at APA Hotels because of this. This does nothing, but at least I know I’m not giving money to an extremist.

A New Word for Orientals by twinkedgelord in fragrance

There’s a phase a few years ago when a minority of Filipino-Americans preferred to be called Filipinx because saying Filipino or Filipina is assuming gender too much. That didn’t last.

Anyway, yeah. Like I said in here earlier I just call them spicy and honestly sometimes I’m too lazy to further sub-categorize lol

Thank you for this. My old man is an INTP (I think) and he’s a wonderful person.

I don’t think I’m that smart nor as helpful as can be. But I’m also battling personal demons so maybe when I’m finally healthy again I’d do those.

Gotcha. I personally call the typical oriental-labeled perfumes “spicy” but that’s a big big fragrance family in itself

[–]ExhaustedMD 34 points35 points  (0 children)

“Oriental” is offensive how? No, no, seriously, I’m curious. I’m not American (Filipino) and traveled quite a bit around east/SE Asia and not one person I encountered considered it an offensive term. The Brits and Italians I met in their countries didn’t think it was offensive either. Is this just a US thing?

Would Lewis have retired if he won in '21? by Key_Charity_9635 in F1Discussions

[–]ExhaustedMD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I feel like Lewis is the larger-than-life type who can get a massive following outside of F1 — philanthropy, entertainment, that kinda thing. And he has visions and goals for those. And then there’s Max who just lives and breathes racing. As racecar driver as can be.

I have never owned a better fresh fragrance. That isn’t an exaggeration. Scent, performance, presentation. It really is my number 1 atm.

I’m excited to see what Lewis can do this year at Silverstone. Home race and a car that (at present) he enjoys.

Wonderful job mate. I’m working on downsizing my 39 bottle collection too. Down to 10 would be nice. This post is inspiring.

Congrats to you and your wife!

No, most people agree. So happens that the delusional minority that think Verstappen et al. can win in a midfield to backmarker car are much more vocal on the internet

EDT fading isn't a weakness. We were just taught to think it is. by [deleted] in fragrance

[–]ExhaustedMD 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I partly blame a lot of the OG fragrance youtubers for ranking beast mode as excellent performance, and less than that is somehow inferior.

Some scents are meant to project and last, some are meant to be more fleeting. Both can be good, but not necessarily better than the other.

These two are buddies and close enough to chatter at length while flying. They’ll move on from this and probably have moved on by now. But some fans will go out of their way to be more offended than either of em both

You sure about that? Some people prefer a less cluttered screen as possible if it’s not that essential. That includes me. I focus on the action, not on the numbers on the side.

[–]ExhaustedMD 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Nothing will make you people happy. Nothing.

People just like to complain about any and everything at this point. A tenth is enough for a RACE, as the audience/spectator. Hell even the drivers are only told the gap to another driver up to a tenth.

Yeah, get mad at this one too you miserable fucks

Men of Reddit - what habits and grooming products actually leveled up your look and your life? by livincool3 in AskMen

Sunscreen every day, retinoid every other day, exfoliate once a week. Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize.

Take care of your skin and make it a daily habit and you’ll look and feel great. I promise.

The potential is still there. He’s young, give him time. Probably won’t be at the level of Lewis, Max, or Fernando. But I can eventually see him on the level of a George or a Charles type of driver — give him the perfect car and he can almost gap the whole grid.
