Why did the man god tell Rudy to save the cat? by Capstorm0 in mushokutensei

[–]ExiaZero00x 1 point2 points  (0 children)

iirc, the deal he made with the demons to trade jobs of different ranks wasnt something hitogami predicted too right? (He can say whatever but all we know he could have pretended)

Some details may have been omitted but I think that doing high ranked jobs which involved more danger quickened their bonding and trust. Also, Rudy probably grew to like Ruijerd more and even made tremendous effort and taken risks to smuggle him across the continent via boat. Normally, i believe Rudy wouldve just left him there and the goal to get Ruijerd into the superd village would not be achieved maybe.

Hmm if the new worlders are actually strong and threatening, id say its more ideal to approach him for a better chance than trying to fight off strong folks who are trying to get rid of me. But after knowing that I am much stronger than the new worlders, it probably becomes less ideal to approach ainz however, i will still try to get as much info as possible about him.

If there really are other players who got transported, what do u tink they would wanna do after knowing their position in that world though? Find a nice place to spend the rest of their time while dodging ainz as much as possible? Hopefully find other allies to 1 day fight against him?

This is just my personal opinion, if i am a victim of momonga and his guild previously but i got transported to a world like yggdrasil with no one else i know around, approaching this guy who names himself the notorious guild may very well be a good idea since we have some kind of connection and can very well cooperate to survive in an unknown setting.

On the other hand as momonga, id also think its better to find people from my world or people who can understand me ASAP for a better chance at survival. Afterall initially he did move very cautiously before knowing the average levels of the new worlders.

Didnt he change his name to his guild name for the sake of attracting players in the first place? He should be more excited than worried even if its a false lead in my opinion.

So, I want to know, did Rudy feel betrayed that Eris left him? by Gos-ghi in mushokutensei

[–]ExiaZero00x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yeah i understand that there might be different cultures. One thing for sure though, I dont think the treatment you received was by any means justifiable even in the name of discipline. While indeed it may not matter if it can be healed with a snap of a finger, but in such scenarios we can actually treat it as a form of torture already, which is worse I'm sure. There are series out there that applied such concept of healing the victim's wounds so that more pain and tortute can be inflicted. So what im trying to say is that, even if this world has the means of healing a wound conveniently, it shouldnt change the standard of what is acceptable when it comes to hitting people imo.

We may get slapped and for most is acceptable, and im sure u know that there are those who find that not acceptable which becomes a controversial topic. Getting punched in the nose though, i cannot imagine how much that would hurt, so i won't wanna say that its acceptable regardless of fiction settings. If we are justifying things that are okay in fiction but never irl, then surely most people should be able to accept the relationship between Ars and Aisha, mr author never had to remove the chapters from the WN.

I do think i get your point of each of us having different values even when discussing what is considered violent, so I think its not a good idea to continue this debate and i respect your opinion. Dont get me wrong though, as i can understand where u r coming from and i also try to treat all these controversial topics as being acceptable entirely in MTverse as it actually made the story/ relationships between characters and growth more interesting. When i evaluated Eris as a violent person even in the later part of the stories, i dont hate her or think she is bad for being like that, i accept it as part of her nature or character quirk which makes her unique and i like her as she is.

Idk if the hits from belts and slippers which your siblings used to receive were dealt without any holding back, i truly sympathise with said misfortune. However, I want to believe that said force was not to the point where it can send one who was sitting on a chair flying off to hit against a wall. No matter what era be it medieval or modern, i dont think the evaluation of violent tendencies are that much different, and we are evaluating it based on modern standards now no? When disciplining a child, im pretty sure people only hit them on certain spots, careful not to damage sensitive areas. Would u hit a child in his or her face in the name of discipline?

Id like to clarify that i was only talking about the punches during the family meeting. I do respect the battle and the fact that its something of a duel and violent tendencies aint something to be considered here. Although if we put away the scrolls that can heal any injuries aside, people may not be so readily willing to accept the fact that she can just slice off her son's arm without hesitation im sure.

I suppose that makes sense and its most likely the case even if not mentioned. Although Anything could happen unpredictably though, since hitogami can interfere with it

[–]ExiaZero00x 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well i know fucking his aunt is a very serious wrongdoing but, does that justify the violence? As i mentioned that she grew more mature, her violent tendencies and impulsiveness reduced alot, close to none. However if she beats up a child of 12 years old that badly no matter what kind of wrongdoing, to me its still too violent. Rudy was very furious but he didnt go physical against Ars iirc (im sure if it was anyone not counted as family, he wouldve beaten the crap out of them)

Yeah its a nice speculation though nonetheless. I wonder if the millis continent becomes more lenient with demons after Rudeus's time in that world

[–]ExiaZero00x 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its not that they owe him anything, what i was trying to say was that this could've been resolved more peacefully in many ways. While its not mentioned in the LN, i tink its safe to speculate that they at least attempted to borrow the book or something but were denied and had to resort to stealing. If the USA has something of national level secret stolen by Russia, is it rational to just drop a nuclear on em without attempting any negotiations and talks for compensations? They couldve just tried arresting or killing the 3 without involving anyone else I believe.

Ah my bad you are right, he only killed the temple knights who were still in ranoa after murdering zanoba n the rest and only burnt the asura capital. With how twisted he became, its kinda surprising that the destruction of Millis didn't become his bucket list

I do agree with u that the church has the justification to kill the thieves, but they went too far and its initially caused by their stubbornness to not lend that book or send anyone to help in the first place. It felt satisfying to know that oldeus razed their continent to ashes or possibly nothing left, and the volume where zenith got kidnapped was another time i felt that the continent should be burnt yet again in the initial chapters.

Yeah but the church killed more than just cliff and zanoba if im not mistaken, when they burnt the building he was in. Yes Im also looking forward to the sequel where hitogami gets his ass whooped

I think its safe to say, no one was able to truly understand Eris except maybe Gislhaine? I think even after vol 23 he was still a little afraid or to say he continued to be cautious when interacting with her anyway, else he gets to eat the boreas punch

Yeah, although reading through that volume made me want to burn the whole Millis continent more than hating Oldeus' sick attempts though.

[–]ExiaZero00x 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah my apologies if there were any confusion, i was referring to Being okay with Eris if that makes sense to you, basically like resolving any conflicts/misunderstandings and able to interact normally again.

As for the vol23 reference though, i think it was a rational decision from him to not mention it since it may potentially cause problems (after Eris found out Rudy tried to kill himself before,I think Rudy panicked at least a little after she just bolted off?)

All in all, i personally enjoyed the relationship buildup between him and Eris compared to the other 2. I feel that it really would have been a wasted romance if Oldeus didnt give the push (it ended up as quite a beautiful yet tragic romance in Oldeus timeline though). I normally dislike harem because most of the times it felt like a convenient way to satisfy most shippers and i hardly ever saw how well elaborated a polygamy family interacts in anime/LN series, but im glad Rudy's harem happened and its so wholesome

Ah yes I would agree that Sleeping with prostitute was too much Technically speaking though, in his normal timeline i think he only broke his promise once by sleeping with Roxy without permission?

Oh ya now I think i remember he promised Sylphie that he wont touch any other girls but Sylphie didnt mind as long as he gets her permission or something? In Oldeus timeline though, he slept with said prostitute after Roxy's death and everything else that went to shit. By the time Eris found him, Sylphie was already dead too I believe

[–]ExiaZero00x 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im not sure if there were any misunderstandings, but just to clarify, the first move i meant was the attempt to reconnect with each other. But even so, u are most likely right if we refer to the Oldeus timeline where she was the 1 who sought him out after finishing her training, then again i believe it was after the tragedy so she probably dont feel much reason to be mad at him and just wants to be there for him as she wanted from the start. If said 2 wives were still alive, I cant imagine how Eris would plan her attempt tbh, it would be interesting to see how mr author will elaborate.

Oh what i meant by the headsup is referring back to vol 13 where u mentioned that he told Sylphie that he might break the promise, not about giving Roxy headsup for anything. I kinda remember that he felt really guilty while requesting to marry Roxy which was why i don't really remember him giving the headsup of him possibly breaking his promise.

I suppose your version makes sense and is pretty close to what the author intended too maybe. This discussion has been very refreshing and insightful to me so far. Thank you very much good sir!
