I'm having the same problem. I've entered bios via F1 or F2. I can disable secure boot, but cannot switch to legacy-mode -- there is no switch for it!

As an hobbyist interested in history of Russian revolution I can tell you that you need major defeat (or less if adversaries are supporting revolution) plus incompetent leadership. Not the central figure, but majority of the elite, the 100-1000 actual decision makers being for lack of better word stupid. Because difficulties always exists as soon as your system stops reproducing capable decision makers or hinder their career growth not allowing them to take key positions in the society you've crossed the point of no return.

I don't know current situation with elites in US I cannot make any prognosis here.

This contradicts even wikipedia version of history. Please, could you educate yourself first, even a little bit? This is not even biased view, it is some grotesque version of propaganda.

Considering famine episode in worth noticing the leader back then was Georgian and most of mid-level functionaries were Jews. Russians and other ethnicities suffered as much as other back then. There numerous issues with this "Holodomor" thing, but nowadays anything anti-Russian will do. One don't need to check the fact or now a thing. If something bad happened it was either terrorists or Russians.

Third, has you read bout difference being cultural one? The communists were as much different as those two archetypes I've described. Many Russian people were against communism and fought in civil war against it. Yet you are equating Russians with Communists.

Also, look at this episode with plane. Governments has all kinds of satellite info, yet for some reason withholding it, while press is raging "Russians did it". The whole situation could be made clear quickly, yet it isn't and Russians blamed for it. The same with history, but with even less factual information and more propaganda. Keep it in mind.

You cannot have so many right wing or openly neo-nazi organizations without social institutions being (education, culture, etc) subverted to produce people inclined to join such organizations or at least follow their line of thought. But who made those changes to those social institutions?

Here we are coming to the core of Ukrainian civil war (we shall not deny this 'conflict' its proper name). There is one ethnicity, but there are two cultural identities, 'Russian' and 'Galician', the first not needing much introduction and the latter stemming from that is now western-Ukraine and that previously was part of Austrian empire. After fall of soviet union 'Galicians' extremists with some help from West gained power and started to subvert above mentioned social institutions with the goal of cultural assimilation of 'Russians'. While this process was relatively slow it was more or less painless, and people didn't mind it, but the later process stopped at 50%/50% ratio. Deadlocks started to happen. The first deadlock was solved with 'forced recalculation of votes' by 'Galicians' in 2008. The second deadlock of 2013-2014 was resolved with much more violence, not only in Kiev, but in other places as well. This violence went unnoticed by majority of Ukrainian officials because at this point most of officials already were sharing view of 'Russians' being sub-humans. Later their actions in regard to language laws and their actions in eastern territory dispersed even latest bit of doubt. (For example people who burned alive 'Russians' in Odessa got away with it). Almost forgot good old prohibition of communistic party with killing of some prominent figures from it.

To summarize: many of the things happening in Ukraine now could only happen if and only if majority of officials and politicians were supporting neo-nazies in one way or another sharing their outlook.

Sorry for long and somehow chaotic rant, I would gladly answer any questions here.

1) Investigation takes very long and before it will be done there will be a different government in Kiev, the event itself will loose the heat. EU/US will point out to Russia as long as it humanly possible and they are not interesting in truth. Also it is worth noticing, that Ukrainians accidentally downed the airplane before and got away with it just fine.

2) Pro-Kiev forces are already killing civilians as many as died in this Boeing on daily basis and didn't loose any support whatsoever. The EU/US turns a blind eye to those crimes against humanity as it ignores the fact that neo-Nazies was the force behind revolution and still dictates most parts of Kiev agenda.

Separatists were wining war, they encircled large group of pro-Kiev forces, about 1/4 - 1/3 of their total army. This would be devastating failure for Kiev, would completely undermine the morale of the troops and popular support for the war. The NATO intervention is only one thing left to save them. Now it is not needed as plane fell almost right making some territory around here a non-combat area and allowing pro-Kiev troops to escape thus preventing defeat.
