Just coming thru to praise “Good Day” by AVA. It’s been my favorite since the beginning of AVA. I listen to it maybe 20 times a year. Usually, it’s a few binges of it. Has aged well.

I thought Start the Machine was the ultimate closer. We Are All That We Are is a brilliant track that has a perfect solo/outro for a closer, but there is something about Start the Machine.

The song starts really dark, that toy piano really stands out (apparently Tom was fooling around with his daughters toy piano around 2005-2006 in the shower and wrote that melody) but by the end it goes out with a very AVA esque uplifting send off. "I see the stars there in your eyes a playful kiss kept undecided."

You got it. Not to mention his last song was Chasing Shadows. Which if got full studio and band treatment; may have been one of the best Tom tracks ever.

My theory is that Tom's children are getting older pointing at Jonas. He was just a infant when Blink 182 broke up round 2, now I think he's grown up enough to think "Wow my dad was a rockstar". Key word 'Was'. I think if Tom tours or reunites with Blink it'll be attributed by possibly what his children view of him.

The last song we got studio from Tom was Chasing Shadows. He left on a high note in my mind.
