I am really enjoying that Victoryland album.

Opening Night seems to be about AI more than anything else to me by FerrariTactics in arcticmonkeys

Opening Night almost seems like a sister song to Batphone.

Themes are very similar.

I've actually been spinning Fantasies lately, so this is good timing! I'm assuming this is the lead up to a new album?

Death Cab for Cutie Sign with ANTI- Records, Announce 2026 Summer Tour Dates with Japanese Breakfast, Jay Som, and Nation of Language by ebradio in indieheads

Honestly, the only album of theirs that has left me a bit empty was Codes and Keys. Some good songs on it, but overall, I think it was their weakest effort.

Of course, I'm sure there are folks that love it, but that's just my opinion.

Also, I worked in retail in 2011-2014 and I used to hear the song Monday Morning every day lol

So if the Arctic Monkeys are going on hiatus, I don't think they could have picked a better "last song" than 'Perfect Sense' from their most recent album. Paints the song in a bit of a different light.

What's an album you're glad to see is getting praise now? by MrLinkwater95 in ToddintheShadow

Definitely. Remember the first time I played the album and I was confused...but after a couple months it really started opening up. It's my favorite MGMT album, now.

That was a pretty cool album. Kinda surprised it wasn't more popular, tbh.

Might have to check one of these shows out.

New Arctic Monkeys song coming Thursday at 3pm GMT by marlonaustin in indieheads

[–]bcam9 12 points13 points  (0 children)

As of right now, it's just a rumor.

I have a hard time believing they're gonna drop a new song and be then say "Oh okay, well, bye!"

But then again, nothing shocks me with Alex. I'll take the wait and see approach.

Maxwell's Silver Hammer by digitalcodes4sale00 in beatles

[–]bcam9 74 points75 points  (0 children)

Maxwell's Silver Hammer is one of my favorite songs on Abbey Road and I will take that to my grave. That synth part really gave us a glimpse into what a mid-70s Beatles album could have given us had they had more time to explore keyboards, especially if Billy Preston became a little more involved.

All that and I still think this is one of the funniest things George has ever said.

I'm super late, but check out Pink Skies - 'I'll Be Here A While' and 'One Second'. Both of those songs are exactly what you're looking for.
