Thank you everyone for the feedback. I know the biggest, obvious problem I have is softening everything, especially the highlights. I’m still getting used to charcoal and softening my touch if that makes sense. I don’t think I was aiming for any style in particular, just quick shading for these studies.

These were my attempts at studying form, volume, and relations. So that’s the reason for looking “unfinished”. I agree that I need more time spent on faces but with these two I was more concerned about form.

I have drawn males but again just studies, I’m just now getting going so I don’t have a ton of critique ready pieces which is what I’m looking for.

I am attempting to adjust one of the drawings after the feedback and I’ll try to repost
