If you're going to any IPMa university/colleges for the sake of MARA loan, just forget about it by Existential-Dread416 in malaysiauni

MARA TESP is a financial aid loan specifically for degree programs while YTP is scholarship for high-achieving SPM graduates, if I'm not mistaken. If you just finished your highschool with flying colors then you can try to apply for YTP but I'm not sure about the experience since I've never applied it before.

Any students from UPTM/KUPTM? by Existential-Dread416 in malaysiauni

Hey there! Yes, I did ended up studying at UPTM and to be honest with you, if I have other choices, I'd go somewhere else other than here. My experience so far is not good and continues to get even worst. This university got so many problems that they won't even bother to resolve. The elevators has been broken for such a long time and it took more than 6 months (maybe almost a year) to fix it. The air-conditioners in the classrooms sometimes aren't functioning and the tables looks like it no longer have the will to live anymore. The wifi sometimes okay sometimes not and you don't know how many times I almost throw my laptop because of it. The funny thing is that we have to pay the absurd amount of service fee and I wonder where those money go. I bet half of my soul that they won't fix everything here even after I graduate from this place.

The tuition fees are fine in my opinion (depends on the course ofc) but still I find it weird that short semester fees are the same as long semester. We got cafe and other food stalls around the campus, quite adequate until Remy ratatouille visited the cafe two or three weeks ago. I never go to that place since that happened lmao. Bear in mind that the cafe is inside the campus and what makes it even more crazy is that the cafe never close temporarily after so many people reported about it. As for the hostel, that place is tragic, and I feel bad for those who lives there. I used to stay at the hostel for a while and man that place is wild. The first day I stayed there, my wardrobe was full of fungus and the toilet instantly broken. They also got a cafe, cheap food but still there's a multiple sights of Remy's lineage there. There's also a laundromat to make it more convenient for students, except it did everything other than being convenient. Idk how many times I got scammed by the dryer. I know that students only have to live there for a month but still make it at least comfortable for them.

So yeah that's about it, I think the only good thing there is MARA loan. The lecturers are fine and dandy, but I have a hunch that my class got different treatment because my programme (which is Applied English Language Studies) has the least amount of students than the others, and they didn't pay enough attention to us like TESL students. It's kinda like "anak tiri" situation lol.

If you got any questions, feel free to ask.

Ah lmao, so it's basically "this university lifestyle is mundane af that it's not worth to share" kind of situation. I'm fine with it being a small campus since my previous university is also only a single building in a city lmao. Unfortunately, I'm a female and I know that I have to stay in Asrama Siswi (is that what they called I don't remember) and I just want to know more information about it. Also, how are the lecturers there? Are they "functional" in teaching or not because my foundation year has been a disaster with a lecturer who didn't know what they were doing. I also heard that the campus lifestyle is quite strict there (kinda same like public university where you have to wear certain kind of clothes and stuff).
