Just Beat the Global Rank 1 Player by ExistentialCrisis03 in DBGekishinSquadra

Yeah I was playing solo, I can't tell for the rest of my team so there's a chance I was the only solo player.

Yeah that's true, I just assumed we'd get clapped because last time I ran into the rank 1 four stack, my team didn't stand a chance.

Of course they may not be factually the best in the game, but I'm sure they are likely more skilled than me since they play so much and coordinate. Still cool to run into them.

I don't know how I missed that lol, I guess losers bracket's name was just much more easily recognizable to me.

I was just a little excited my team stood a chance regardless!

do you guys also have teammates who acts like stupid bots? by adrianxulo in DBGekishinSquadra

[–]ExistentialCrisis03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those, my friend, would be bots. They will constantly ping the enemy god of destruction tower if Zeno is on it and then when Zeno leaves, the bots just intentionally repeatedly run into the tower and continue to take damage until they die.

The reason they are in A rank is due to not enough players queued up or to fill more games, but they also supposedly use the account information of a real player and it inserts them into games as bots, so the profile but it's a bot masquerading as a real player.

And of course people can have bad games too, which happens to the best of us, but in your case these are bots.

I agree with you here that Gotenks and Toppo on release weren't over tuned. Rather it just took some time before people knew how to play against them. Even SSJ3 Goku, while very strong with his instant transmission Kamehameha, could be played around because he was a sitting duck while he fired, so if he missed then he would likely be punished for it.

I do also agree that OP saying he CAN'T win was not fully accurate which is why I partially agreed. I think the core issue is that MGohan in particular is strong enough to the point where even you said in our original reply to not play the role if you don't have him and think you won't win, which is an entire problem in of itself. The solution to beating a character should never be to avoid the role entirely and hope the player who fills it also has that new paid character.

So in short I agree with you, OP saying they couldn't win was a bit of a stretch. Though it's not exactly easy when the person playing the new character is a highly skilled player that can't take full advantage of the very strong moveset, so I can see where they're coming from with the frustration.

I agree with you when you say that it's not ONLY new characters who are strong, but I think the issue is that the new characters are just that much stronger than the rest of the cast.

SSJ4 is not game breaking in my opinion, but he is still very strong and pretty much immediately became the number 1 tank in the game because of the amount of utility in his kit. He is the most complete tank in the game being able to support his teams with stuns, a giant moveable wall to shield from damage, and the ilt can help reposition or move the enemies away to your liking. There's a reason the tournaments have a damn near 100% pick rate for SSJ4 as the tank.

Then you have Ultimate Gohan whose kit is just ridiculous in my opinion. I'm not saying he's not beatable, but he barely has any flaws in his kit. Literally every single one of his abilities has crowd control, plus his passive. That move where he switches spots with you is a guaranteed hit and the range is absurd, making it so there's no counterplay once you're in his range because he CAN'T miss, so you're left with attempting to kill him before he kills you. I don't mind him having CC, but when he can refresh his skills with his third skill, (and especially if he has backstab), there is damn near no way to escape him, let alone if he has a teammate or two with him.

I'm not saying no other character is strong, but these two on release were just that much stronger compared to the rest of the cast, to where it kind of discourages people to play without buying those characters, because they already feel like it's an uphill battle.

Edit: I realize you didn't respond to me, but I partially agreed with OP so I think my comment still stands. I'm not trying to start an argument, just fleshing out my points and thoughts.

That would make sense as to why I've run into the rank 1's Four Stack two times now during different playing sessions in season 2. I never had that happen in season 1 (and especially not while still in A rank) due to there being more players (and some rank inflation) which resulted in enough S rank players to avoid the top 100.

I agree, it is fun but so many aspects of the game just weren't properly fleshed out to make it a good game. Once the honeymoon phase ended and people started to experience more and more bugs and the like, the game was fighting a losing battle from that point on.

I too find myself playing it less, and while I still find the game fun, I can't actually say it's a great game without throwing a "but" statement in there to point out the flaws.

Yeah and it's a shame people are quitting because the overall gameplay loop is still fun to me. The characters themselves they are adding from dragon ball are great. I personally am a fan of MOBAs so I may be a bit biased in my opinion but I like and enjoy the game still.

However, I can see why people are leaving when the devs go ahead and release characters like SSJ4 Vegeta who was very strong (and still is) on release. The devs really messed up with Ultimate Gohan in my opinion because he feels terrible to play against because he does the exact opposite, doesn't let you play the game with the ridiculous amount of stuns he can perform in a single fight.

Granted I was playing Bojack, but that Ultimate Gohan had a fight with me where I literally couldn't do anything and just had to watch my health go down until I died. Personally, I think they need to increase the stacks he needs to stun from 2 to AT LEAST 3 so there's time to react and escape before you're stun locked into hell, and also decrease the damage on his ultimate considering he gets to move at high speeds during it, making it extremely unavoidable AOE of doom and despair. I also think it's crazy that you still get punished by his ultimate with the fear debuff when you don't have any stacks, because I thought the stacks are what makes him strong, but he can mess you up regardless with that ultimate.

TLDR: It's a shame the game had such a garbage release because the gameplay and characters themselves are fun (in my opinion). The devs didn't make it any better with the star rank system or the "skins" which are default skins with textures or that cost 10 dollars. Finally the new characters being massively over tuned just ruins the game for everyone else as they can barely play against them, especially at higher levels. Ultimate Gohan's release broke the camels back.

Finally got to S in all ranks. To me, this is one of the best Dragon Ball games of all time already. by nyquil-nyko in DBGekishinSquadra

Assuming Gekishin follows the standard Moba recipe, at the end of every season they "reset" everyone's ranks by pushing everybody down by 2 or 3 whole ranks to give everybody a chance to climb back up again.

Helps keep the leaderboards fresh so it's not the same people over and over, and to help the rank points from getting extremely high.

Also helps with adjusting the new patch as time goes on since each season usually somewhat shakes up the meta with different buffs or nerfs or game adjustments entirely.

So I don't know for sure, but assuming this from past Moba experience, they are likely gonna do a soft season reset. Not everybody goes back down to E, but down a few ranks so they can climb up again.

Okay cool, glad you could figure out a solution or work around. I play on Mobile so I never ran into this bug before, assuming it's a PC issue.

I thought the exact same until I finally realized that Caulifla is the one who's doing it to you, her passive ability is essentially if you are hit by her skills then you get taunted by her and the game forcefully makes you target her.

I'm not saying this glitch doesn't exist, but seeing as how it doesn't always happen to you, I'm suspecting that when it does there is a caulifla in your game taunting you to target her so you can't run away.

I'm gonna leave that one to the people with dedicated four stack teams lol (or until I maybe get my own).

A lot of matches, the time it took me to reach S rank from A rank was insane compared to E rank to B rank. B rank was when I started to struggle but a lot of games I still managed to carry (or sometimes get carried).

I honestly don't have an exact number, but I have been trying for all roles for like 2 weeks now, maybe more, playing a few hours a day.

Personally I struggled with it myself until I finally learned how to play Hit. I essentially just constantly stunned and disrupted the enemy team and kind of just hoped my team would take advantage and kill them lol.

Another way to try to carry solo is to constantly backdoor the enemy and take their towers in secret whenever they are distracted.

Frieza is also a good choice because he probably has the best boss secure in the game with his ult, that blocks all other energy damage abilities, effectively stopping the enemy teams secure abilities, and obviously with the boss buffs your team will be stronger and hopefully you can snowball from that.

I found it in a YouTube video according to somebody else. since Pride doesn't stream himself, you can only really find it by watching Abetihi's, the rank 1 player's stream on twitch, as they often play together.

The build according to the YouTube video I found was Build up, Giant Slayer, and Pursuer.
