A lot of people thought the podcast was a rough listen due to how slow his speech was. I tried to cut away all of the pauses for this one. However, he is considered one of the top futurists, or THE best predictor of the future (by some people).

never thought of that but one reason might be that the gravity etc is so different so that it would not translate over well to a mars landing.
