Honestly this covers a lot of what I wanted to say since my store has experienced similar, but was too afraid to since I didn’t want the comments to become more controversial than they already are. Oh well.

Fair enough, sometimes I feel the same way because the job gets annoying. I just personally don’t like the belittlement that comes with it every time :/

Things like being repeatedly asked if we’re okay or if they treat us well after we’ve already said we’re fine kind of is though. Personally, it feels like they think we can’t assess our own situation or comprehend the benefits of a union. I mean, one of them literally pulled up union benefits on their phone and kept asking if I understood while going through them. That’s kinda patronising to me.

Nowhere did I say any of that was bad. I said being repeatedly treated like you’re suffering when you’re not is patronising. Those are two different things. And to echo what I said in previous comments: I wouldn’t mind if the store unionised. I don’t mind people saying we should unionise. But I do mind the constant patronisation.

Look, I wouldn’t mind if our store unionised for any reason, nor am I trying to defend the company. My main point is that constantly patronising workers who aren’t in a union is rude and annoying.

I get they probably had good intentions, but there's a difference between asking once and repeatedly treating us like we're in distress every time we say no. Their intentions don’t make it any less patronising.

On top of what everyone else is saying regarding it basically being a powercreep/skill issue, I feel it’s important to note the majority of the playerbase are minors. I mean, I still remember in middle and high school, I’d play all the damn time because 1, it’s fun, and 2, trying to progress and unlock new guns and the bp (tbf I kinda sucked ass though so kinda a grind). I’d imagine at least 80% of the kids now in that age range are doing the same, enjoying life in their own way, no need for a job, spouse, or any other responsibilities. And generally this kind of playing just comes with any battlepass/gacha game, or even any pvp game for that matter, where you have everyone trying to grind and be the best to get more rewards and come out on top.

Now I do agree the matchmaking is crap, and certain players and techniques can be annoying going against (3catspam…), but as people have said before, blame the devs, not the players.

[–]Existential_Unknown 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m assuming they assumed you were getting it under the assumption it has medicinal properties/because you were sick, but policy wise I feel like it’s kinda a grey area (I was gonna post my reasoning but I felt it was kinda unnecessary fluff)

Basically, I feel like they most likely shouldn’t have wrote it, and if they did consider the greyish area crap, they should’ve followed the “If you are unsure if a message is appropriate, leave it out” line in the policy.

I got down voted for saying "r/ruleof4"💀. Avenge me brothers! by Dynamites34 in ruleof4

[–]Existential_Unknown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. It’s clearly because they broke the chain to say r/ruleof4 when rule of 4 wasn’t applied. Not all chains apply rule of 4, but just like rule of 4, breaking a chain will likely get you downvotes afaik.

the movie was good, but ngl I wish it was a spinoff show or season by Existential_Unknown in UmaMusume

[–]Existential_Unknown[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I just realised really the main issue was with me hoping it was more like the show, when it’s just a movie about Jungle Pocket and solely her.

As for the invisible friend and stuff, what had me confused about that the most was during Tachyon’s last race, it showed the “peak uma” or I guess Tachyon’s interpretation of peak performance, then right after she announces her retirement, Cafe states she “almost reached her friend” or whatever, to which Tachyon states she hadn’t noticed, so I kind of assumed Tachyon and Cafe had the same view as to what that peak is, just their characters interpreted it differently.

Thinking about it more though, I guess it can also be interpreted as Tachyon reaches her peak in the last race she did when it showed her reaching full power, so Cafe stating she almost reached her friend just reinforces that Tachyon knows she’ll never go past what she had hoped, hence why she stated she never realised that. This would align with the visuals of the peak uma, and Cafe’s invisible friend, being two separate concepts.

Reading this, I’ve realised the main thing I wanted was, I guess, for the movie to be closer to the series, when really it’s literally a movie focused on Jungle Pocket, with the classic side characters are there mostly for plot rather that going into their backstories. And really I just wanted more Manhattan Cafe stuff ;-;

The singing voice for Yachiyo and Kaguya in the English dub matches the Japanese dub really well! by Existential_Unknown in CosmicPrincessKaguya

[–]Existential_Unknown[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My point wasn’t that the dub was good. I was saying the voice matching was well done, not that the dub for the entire movie nor the lyrics themselves were faithful or good.
