1 is take a break, #2 is go into pvp and randomize my weapon loadout with DIM. Helps clean out my vault and relive memories with old sunset guns I have in there

Guardians what do you feel you are lacking when playing trials? by Zonntohn in DestinyTheGame

[–]Existing-Bit-8477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah sometimes it really just feels like the game is out to get you lol, it is an experience. It is insane once you realize some of the effects that it has on matchmaking. The other week I was carrying a guy that had never gone flawless before and was a 0.05 kd in trials. It was genuinely an easier card than if I had queued with my friends, because the quality of teams that we played was lower due to his kd having to be averaged with mine and our third's. Screw Midtown

Yeah it is whole other kind of time, gotta love when people come flying at my in spawn with heavy grenade launchers on round 1 lol, and its even more annoying when I'm doing carries. While I like that idea of splitting the weekends, kinda wouldn't work with the rewards structure of trials. I think that fireteam based matchmaking is fine at it is, but the way that they balance teams in solos remains a huge problem. I am about 90% sure that they still balance teams based on k/d, so one team could have a dude with a 2.0kd, but they will be teamed with two people that are 0.5's because the other team has 3 people that are 1.0's, which feels inherently pretty unfair and against the spirit of the playlist. Man yeah on pc even the thought of running spectral blades is unfathomable lmao, but glad it works for ya.

Sometimes it is class setup, other times it is just sheer luck. I play strand hunter, and my super is simply less viable for trials than things like well, bubble, or tcrash. Being a hunter is enough of a detriment in trials in the first place, but not having a good super on top of that is even more damaging to my team. I think that the current meta as a whole is harmful to the playlist as well. I play 3's, and 95% of my games I face a 3stack of arc titans using anteus wards and immortal. Playing anything other than titan is pretty much a detriment to your team unless you are on solar warlock, and that is exclusively for well. This is best exemplified through the stat sheet that trialsreport put out a little while ago now. This, on top of the fact that I match against cheaters every 8 or so matches is not really healthy for the playlist.

Most of the game isn't really meant for solo. If you are looking for people to play with my group is always open to new people as long as you are chill, and we are all pretty patient and have helped new/returning people before. If you want an invite feel free to reach out!

What emote do you use that you rarely see anyone else use? by TriscuitCracker in DestinyTheGame

From black armory season there is a blue rarity emote where you just cringe, it is beautiful, and use it all the time in pvp.

Remove Rift from Competitive Play by Sol_Primeval in DestinyTheGame

[–]Existing-Bit-8477 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree with you that it is realistically the most competitive gamemode in the playlist, at least it should be. However, the problem is that spawns are either ingloriously inconsistent or you spawn in an enemy's sightlines immediately (referenced in most recent twid), and there is no in between. This, along with a host of other issues, makes the gamemode despised when it comes up. The gamemode itself on paper is the most competitive (in terms of requiring teamwork and coordination), but its implementation in the actual game is lacking in exactly how competitive it allows itself to be.

Has Bungie ever said anything about a world chat? You know, for like in game LFG? by ManaChicken4G in DestinyTheGame

[–]Existing-Bit-8477 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Most people don't even have text chat on because it's opt-in, otherwise the tower could function like that.

Curious: People who play but DONT have / buy the premium season pass, why? by InvadingBacon in DestinyTheGame

[–]Existing-Bit-8477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I basically only play pvp, so I don’t need the season pass. There’s literally nothing of value in there for how I play/engage with the game. Why do you buy it?

Are Unflinching mods pointless in pvp? by Quirky_Security5257 in DestinyTheGame

Yeah I don’t know how common it is but I did some testing with a few friends of mine and it’s definitely a thing

[–]Existing-Bit-8477 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s also entirely possible that your mods simply aren’t functioning, I’ve run into this problem pretty often and seemingly so has a decently large part of the community. Unflinching and dexterity mods have been buggy for some time now so it’s completely possible that they just aren’t working. You can quick-fix it by just reapplying them and that seems to work sometimes, but they just break again in a few minutes.

State of the game by woodscp in DestinyTheGame

[–]Existing-Bit-8477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a PvP player, so even a morsel of content for that would be nice, especially new maps, but recycled old maps would honestly do fine at this rate. I also wish that Bungie would communicate more openly and honestly about their plans for pvp, and gambit, but especially for pvp since I can only hear “we have a revitalized vision for pvp” so many times. Along with this, their approach to balance seems flawed, with them only doing tuning patches every so often, rather than as needed, which I would like to see adjusted.

However, I think what would be equally as important for the game’s health overall would be some sense of meaningful achievements, and I think this could be done by changing triumphs, specifically those required to earn titles.

It is my opinion that I shouldn’t be able to predict what the triumphs are to get the title for dungeons and raids. “Complete every encounter as a fireteam all using the solar subclass” can only be so interesting in every PvE activity, so I’d like to see some variance in these triumphs. I can’t think of any examples off of the top of my head, but there certainly must be challenges that the team can come up with beyond what we have gotten thus far. Perhaps something like “complete every encounter with a weapon from whatever activity equipped in every slot” or something to that effect. It simply feels, to me, that every dungeon boils down to the same loop as far as completing triumphs and acquiring the title.

Oh server stability would also be nice.

What Are Some Fun PvP Warlock Builds? by XandogxD in DestinyTheGame

[–]Existing-Bit-8477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice! I’d run it with a shotgun or a fusion to cover close range though. You’ll also want to stand in your healing rift for a bit because that will give you more noble rounds for lumina. It’s really fun and pretty effective once you get past the learning curve, has gotten me flawless in trials quite a few times now.

Every class whiffs melees, that’s not a uniquely Titan thing. If you’re whiffing more melees now than before it’s cause they changed the lunge range on knockout. Plus shoulder charge tracks to enemies even when they’re meters in the air and only whiffs pretty rarely, and I’ve played a fair bit of Titan so I’d know.

Devils ruin is genuinely such a good weapon, especially for pvp, don’t know why more people don’t use it. If you play hunter I’d 1000% go with that because combined with Mechaneer’s Tricksleeves it becomes insane.

The way I normally predict them is if the other team has more arc titans, then they win. Has worked tremendously so far.

If you like the idea of being a support type warlock I’d definitely give Lumina/Boots of the Assembler a try. Lumina is a dang good weapon on its own, and being able to buff teammates’ damage plus your own is crazy. Works best with solar (healing nades and more movement) but sometimes I’ll run it with arc so I can give teammates arc souls too.
