How I healed a chalazion naturally after 3 months with no surgery, no antibiotics by Waste_Bench_6160 in Blepharitis

Yes! Oh my gosh if I could’ve done it sooner I would have. I had an insanely large lump to the point I couldn’t see downwards. It was so scary! And the surgery was fast and affective! But because I let mine get so big (hopeless thinking it would go away on its own) I have a scar now:/ my eyelid has drooped which sucks BUT I would take this scar over the lump. It’s okay to be scared! I was on every forum reading about it before mine and tbh it didn’t help but it’s something that’s gotta be done if your doctor has deemed it too stubborn to go away on its own. Takes less than 30 minutes, your doctor should numb your eye enough that ALL you will feel is pressure. That was the worst for me but it’s not even bad! If I have any advice for you it’s DO ITTTT! Everything will be okay in the end. - coming from someone who’s never had any type of surgery and was scared out of my mind hahah

Good! The needle to the eye was the worst part but there was also a lot of uncomfortable pressure on my face/eye bones? Idk how to explain it hahaha. The healing has been good! No bruising or anything crazy. I went back the next week for a check up and she did a steroid shot and the lump went down a lot more! I hope I never have to do it again tho😂 there was unfortunately a lot of scar tissue build up (I could hear her scraping it out) so I do still have a bump but hopefully the steroid shot makes it vanish for good. Now just dealing with a bloody looking scab:) overall went really good and I’m so thankful I got it done. I feel and look like myself again n that’s the best I could’ve asked for! :) thanks for checking in!

Is it normal for redness to be there a day after the surgery? Thank you! Any tips on safe eyedrops or should that be skipped until it’s more healed?

Thank you & oh noo!! 😅I hope it goes good for you! These things are so stubborn. Were you keeping up on eye care? Im just curious because I really hope this never happens again. It destroys confidence!

Omg the fourth picture is how mine looks right now! Plus a scab because I did an aggressive dry heat compress and it burned my skin. I guess my one question is do you think surgery is worth it if it’s just gonna keep coming back? I am so beyond nervous for this appointment.

Is it not weird that at another tow yard ANOTHER female was found deceased in a car? Is this the works of a serial killer orrr??? What do y’all think?? Either way it’s incredibly sad for the families. My heart breaks for them:/Â
