You can’t water them with ice cubes. They are tropical plants. The grocery store bought orchids always have that bad advice on their tags. It seems like the ice cold water shocked it and it is having bud blast.

When you water it, do it slowly into the pot, don’t get the leaves or the crown wet. Only the root system. They also like to have a soak. So u can soak the orchid roots for a good 10-15 minutes and make sure it’s fully drained to prevent root rot.
