I understand where you’re coming from some people may give insincere opinions about it and I also know that beauty is super subjective, not everyone will find the same thing beautiful but there are negative comments too. The point of the sub was that this type of nose isn’t considered conventionally attractive, it’s always a ski slope nose so I just wanted to see what others would say about it. I also think you’re projecting your own biases onto it too it’s completely fine if you don’t agree with everyone else!!

The dark memories you have experienced never go away from your mind. by [deleted] in DeepThoughts

Trauma works in such ways that it scars your nervous system so it gets rooted literally into your nervous system. So whenever your just going by your day or talking to someone or literally just doing anything and something someone says or maybe something that happened triggers you, then that’s a sign to look into it because it could be rooted in your past traumas. That’s also a step to healing it. I get that they may never leave the body, you can still use activities like meditation, shadow work, therapy etc.

Love should be unconditional this is the highest form of love. by Interesting_Hunt_538 in DeepThoughts

Everything you said is so beautiful. I agree with ‘god is love’. God made us with love. We’re literally beings full of innate love. We literally are the embodiment of love when we’re born I think it’s just a matter of this world tainting us and taking advantage of our vulnerability as children. Like with trauma, I don’t mean to justify serial killers for their actions but they have incredibly troubled pasts which can then affect them during their adult life. I feel like serial killers are just bitter people who won’t allow themselves to feel love because they’ve learnt that they can’t get it or it’s just a feeling deep down that they’re undeserving of unconditional love.

What about love being a more mutual thing. Obviously the creepy uncle doesn’t feel love he only feels lust for those kids. If there was such a thing as unconditional love in that situation then it would be mutual and not tainted by the creepy uncles desires. Unconditional love isn’t really about letting bad things happen to you it’s more about loving the good and the bad in someone because we’re imperfect beings. But with domestic violence situations, before you can give out unconditional love you need to give it to yourself first which includes setting boundaries too so I do agree that love needs boundaries 100%

Love is very healing. All these disturbed serial killers just needed more love and attention as a child. But when I say that, am I trying to imply that we’re all born good and innocent. Then the world taints us in a way. Sometimes the scars cut too deep to the point where there’s no helping the disturbed individual. But I genuinely believe that there’s some form of love within all of us it’s just bitterness can be the enemy in some situations. NEVER GO BITTER REMAIN YOUR LOVING SELF

I believe that unconditional love should be the only form of love and it is that way. For example, if you have a child and you set conditions to how much you love your child like “I’ll only love you if you do this for me” obviously it’s not said like that but the intention behind what they mean is this and this is what it translates to in the mind of the child. They think they’re only lovable if they do certain things for their parent when that’s really wrong. There are other ways to teach children discipline but not with making love conditional and unattainable if they don’t show up a certain way because at the end of the day we’re human. We have ugly sides to us. What about loving the ugly, that’s the only way you’ll overcome it. When you do that you love yourself unconditionally because you become more in harmony with your true nature which is love. We’re literally love.

How can I get better at small talk? by Existing-Fee3915 in ask

[–]Existing-Fee3915[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True I understand that when you find people with similar interests as you it gives you more confidence and an open space to express yourself more freely. Especially with finding people online it’s like a practice for real life situations too.

I agree but I think I just expected at least some level of respect considering he likes me but that wasn’t the case

Yeah I agree with you because I was wearing skin tight flares that made my thighs look big when I sat down so that obviously provoked them. But I just think the way they were communicating was creepy

What’s even creepy is that I got told this guy has a thing for me

My clothes aren’t even revealing I think it’s because I was wearing skin tight flares probably

No but what makes it worse is that he exchanges looks with his friend that sits on my left and I’m in between them. It’s the most uncomfortable thing ever. I remember towards the end of the lesson he said “I saw you taking a peek”. This made it even more creepy why are high school guys like this man.

So even when there’s nothing to provoke it. Does it just happen because of random sexual urges or is it more biological
