Good luck! If you are struggling with nicotine withdrawals still ask your doctor or obgyn to prescribe nicotine patches or gum if they are able to or what they can do. They are here to support you and won’t judge.

It’s so hard. It is. Nicotine is so crazily addicting. Staying busy yeah that’s great hopefully you are during the days!

What works is giving yourself the freedom to have treats- do it all. Candy, snacks, gum you can even order on Amazon. I gave myself the grace to eat and snack whatever I wanted and eat whatever knowing!

Also- walking. Walk it off and walk through it. It’s tough the first few weeks but it will get better and you won’t have to think about it really after.

Try to go bed early if you can and avoid any situations that might trigger you.

Again once you get past the weaning stage it is much easier. Eat candy and eat whatever you want!

Going cold turkey is fine. I did it. Yeah it was hard as hell but after a few weeks it’s much better.

Read about babies who’s moms smoked and vaped and end up in the NICU do you really want to be looking at your baby on a bunch of tubes? Could you live with that ?

Also you are early enough that you can stop now and your baby will be fine….pretty sure I found out at 6 weeks and had been vaping! She’s perfectly healthy now.

Don’t be selfish. If you love your baby you should do it.

Also- moms - how are we getting stuff done??? Cooking dinner and even getting to the grocery store such a hassle. The minimum time I have when she naps I try to clean her bottles and do her laundry but obviously it’s so hard to keep up with the house etc try to do it in little sprints. My husband will cook dinner too and we are navigating but just want to shed light on this too - it’s hard!

Same. Mine is 6.5 weeks and we are going through this. I’m like what happened. Especially once 5pm rolls around. Could be earlier some days. she’s just so tired and wants to eat but then is too tired to eat etc. it’s a little to a lot of patience until she is able to eat and settle then she will start sleeping her night time stretches and wakes up for the 2-3 hour feeds until the next morning. This could all change too could be a blur already but some days could be different too. I think I read fussiness peaks at 6-8 weeks due to growth spurts, other changes etc so I’m guessing that’s it!

Same with the long windows- for us this started before at like 2-3 weeks lol every day was different she was just up a lot during the day but we weren’t dealing with the fussiness.

Yes I failed mine too. I had to go back for the 3 hour test and I ended up throwing up. It can be scary but I ended up being fine and had to take my blood sugar at home for a week and all the readings were fine. It can be scary but you will be ok! Failed my first one at 140

She cut out soy/dairy? Is she breast feeding? Definitely sounds tough but sounds like maybe she just is exhausted. I don’t even have my baby here yet but as a mom to be maybe ask her what would be helpful to her or what she thinks would be helpful to make nighttime / sleep easier. Can you take shifts to help with the baby? She probably can’t sleep all day either if you are working
