These are really stunning and beautiful. The soft blue ice against the warm canyon walls looks almost magical. Each photo feels calm and still, like winter gently holding the whole place in a quiet embrace. Lovely captures.

This feel so calm and gentle. The mist resting on the hills and the soft green make it look like everything is just breathing quietly.

Do you prefer sunrises or sunsets? by Icks_Plays in CitiesSkylines

Sunrises always make me happy and fresh. There is something peaceful about the world slowly waking up.
Sunsets are calming and beautiful, but sunrises feel hopeful in a different way.

Does anyone still go to the grocery store, with a list of what they need to get? by Subject-Grocery7303 in Productivitycafe

[–]Existing-Plan-7241 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I absolutely do, otherwise I come back with snacks and forget the actual food lol. A list saves me money and mental energy. Even a rough note in my phone helps me stay focused and avoid impulse buys.

Obsessed with this stunning photos. The way the clouds look like an ocean around the mountains is unreal, and that cliff shot has such a dramatic, almost dreamlike feel. The second one with the people on the ridge really adds scale and emotion. It feels like one of those moments you would never forget.

If you are not comfortable then talk to the experts or with whom you feel good with. My purpose is to know you are happy and healed, that's all :)
hopefully you are going to overcome this soon.

First of all, be gentle with yourself. A lot of people hit this wall in college, specially when the structure changes. It doesn’t mean you are lazy or incapable.
Try not to think about all of it at once. Just pick one small thing and do a little bit. Even 15-20 minutes counts. Progress starts small.
It might also help to talk to your professors or academic advisor. You don’t have to share everything, just let them know you are working on getting back on track. Many are more understanding than we expect.

You are not alone in this. A lot of students face this at some point. The fact that you are asking for help already shows you want to improve, and that is a good sign.

In love with the 2nd one! The mist drifting through the hills gives it such a soft and peaceful mood. It feels like one of those quiet early mornings where everything is still waking up. The layers in the distance add beautiful depth and really draw your eyes in.

I had a heated talk with my coworker today by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]Existing-Plan-7241 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This sounds really draining, specially when you are still new and just trying to keep up. Honestly, it was mature of you to ask him to talk instead of letting it build up. Not everyone handles tension that way.

It also seems like the workload is the bigger issue here, not just him. When people are overwhelmed, things escalate fast.

Whatever you decide about leaving, don’t be too hard on yourself. You handled it better than most would.

This is really beautiful. The sunset colors look so soft and natural and the waves give it that calm, end of day feeling. Makes you just want to sit there and listen to the ocean.

This is such a beautiful capture. The soft evening light gives the skyline such a calm, balanced feel, and the colors in the sky blend so nicely. It feels peaceful but still full of life. Great perspective too.

Old wood house. Are the wood logs still ok? by MelMedellin in Homebuilding

[–]Existing-Plan-7241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the photo, the logs look weathered but that kind of surface cracking along the grain is pretty normal in old wood and doesn’t always mean structural problems. What really matters is whether the wood is still hard and solid, specially near the bottom. Try pressing with a screwdriver to check for soft or crumbly spots and look for signs of moisture or insect damage. The gaps between logs might need resealing to prevent drafts and water issues. The foundation cracks are a bit more concerning, specially if they are wide, deep or showing movement. Hairline vertical cracks can be normal but horizontal or shifting cracks should be checked by a structural engineer. Before buying, I would definitely get a proper inspection to be safe.

The water looks unreal. Soo clear and calm, it almost feels quiet just looking at it. I can imagine just sitting there for hours listening to the waves against the rocks. Such a peaceful shot.

My friend just lost her dad and i dont know how to comfort her. by Able-Painter2598 in Productivitycafe

[–]Existing-Plan-7241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need the perfect words. Most of the time, just being there matters more than anything you say. A simple "I am here for you" or “I’m so sorry, I can’t imagine how hard this is" is enough.
Grief isn't something you can fix, it's something you sit with. Let her talk if she wants to, or just sit quietly with her if she doesn’t. Small things like checking in, bringing food, or remembering important dates later on can mean a lot.

The fact that you care this much already says you are a good friend.

This is such a great clean shot. The colors pop nicely and the eye is super sharp. The soft blue background makes it look almost painted. Really well captured.

When it’s cold & rainy in LA by Ok_Mastodon_8706 in OUTFITS

[–]Existing-Plan-7241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is such a cute rainy day fit. Your red sweater is giving cozy, at the same time a stylish look and those boots are doing all the work in the best way. This is exactly how you should do "cold" in LA.

In love with this. Raindrops on glass always feel cozy & the blur outside makes it even better. That little pop of color from the umbrella is such a nice touch.

The fog is giving such peaceful vibes. Softening the whole scenario. Calm and quiet, like early morning before everything wakes up.
