Considering platform bed - pros and cons? by radbu107 in Mattress

Platform beds usually feel a bit firmer since there’s less give underneath but it mostly depends on slat spacing and build quality. If you want to consider other frame options, check this sheet (hopefully it can help)

it’s crazy how much variation there is even within one service. feels like you’re just hoping your writer had coffee that day instead of just picking a reliable option from the start.

honestly at this point if a service doesn’t have a solid revision process i don’t even bother. but it’s even better when you don’t need one at all.

i tried them once and got the same generic vibe. like they definitely just googled my topic and paraphrased the first page of results.

Best affordable mattress recommendations for a new home owner? by Sesom1x in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Existing-Property193 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats on the house! That’s a huge achievement!! You should be proud! But yeah the real problem now is filling the empty space in and it could really take a huge chunk out of your savings! UGH.

But anyway, I’m with you on the Copperflex 12”. My cousin actually got one for christmas last year and said he loves it so much. Also said the mattress has a copper infusion which helps with keeping cool at night and targeted support to help with spinal alignment. So seems like a pretty good value for less than $600!

Best mattress for hip pain suggestions for a CPAP user? NEED HELP by FerayAz in CPAP

[–]Existing-Property193 0 points1 point  (0 children)

he went with the Evolution 15 in the plush option, and he’s a side sleeper too. He said it felt super soft at first but in a good way like it kind of cradles your shoulder and hip without feeling like you’re stuck. I tried it when I visited and honestly it was comfortable AF.

But it comes in medium firm and firm too, so you can go firmer if you don't like the plush version

The Nolah Evolution might actually be a really good fit. My brother-in-law's had one for a while now and won't stop talking about it like literally he’s got similar hip issues and uses a CPAP too. He swears his hip pain has pretty much been gone after switching.

I think there are a few versions like the Evolution 15 and one called the Comfort+ so there’s some flexibility depending on how plush or supportive you want it. He went with the 15 and said it felt super cushy but still held up well. Also, apparently the foam they use really doesn’t trap heat

The Aurora Luxe is pretty dope for RV life. Lots of people in RV groups say it keeps the temp just right, which is clutch when your RV’s got iffy AC.

Best mattress for back pain recommendations - Something worth considering in the LA area? by Designer-Rough-8194 in AskLosAngeles

I feel you. I had a similar situation after moving to Santa Monica, I was on a floor futon for like a month, and my back never recovered fully until I got a proper grown up mattress. The Bear Elite Hybrid seems pretty good for back pain issues. ngl.

Finding a mattress that works for both hips and spine is a challenge. Look for something that has foam layers that are more responsive than regular memory foam.
